Good idea. I have been sleeping particularly badly since getting back from mum's - dreams, sleep talking (not descended to my sleep walking habits yet...), tossing and turning.

Hoping for a nice day at work. I have sweets to bribe the y9s...

I plan to jump to the advanced level of extreme sleeping, bypassing the snoozing or napping stage...

Don't be too hasty to discount the merits of snoozing...! Option 1 is the couch snooze, option 2 and my particular favourite is the on bed snooze (on top of covers but underneath a fleece blanket is temperature dictates)!

I almost went for a snooze yesterday.... But after my execises session and lunch, I felt too invigorated to lie down!

It was prizegiving last night, so I was out for 4 hours, with all the travelling (got to 18k steps, mind). It was a lovely evening, the guest speaker talked for just over 5 mins, and I enjoyed talking to some of the parents .

Today I am sending dh off to buy himself some more work/walking shoes as he has had aching feet a lot recently. So I'll take dd to dance and then we'll go on to her school summer fair, where I do not have a table!

Day 1 of the NST challenge: Joyful July; also day 1 of frugalwoods' UFM.

Oh small, I feel for you. We break up this coming thurs, but dd is still going for 2 more weeks afterr that. I guess you'll be about the same? Does it help that I have to return to work on FRIDAY 1st Sept...?

Dh returned without new footwear, but with a lightweight silvery-grey bomber-style jacket. Sigh. Although he did get dd some gf bits from the big sainz plus some stuff from the £ emporium. I have his receipts!

On the way to dance, we discovered a 'jumble trail' where over 60 households were selling stuff in their front gardens. In a ch shop, I spent £1 on 4 Jillian Michaels dvds; and the rest was from the jumble trail (we only looked at a few as we had to get home) 50p on some beautiful bath bombs as a present; 10p on some cat earrings for big sis; 10p on a small but heavy pretty metal fairy for dd.

Then a quick turn around for lunch and off to dd's fair where a grand total of 80p got here a few sweets and a pocah0ntas doll with good articulation. Bargain.

How much of the purchases were needed, rather than wanted? Probably the dvds, sweets and doll. Or I could class them as 'luxurious frugality'. I will try out the dvds - much cheaper than any class. The sweets were the only gluten-free option available for dd. The dolls with articulation are rare to find. There. Justified it!
