    May.

11 days involve me being at work.
20 days involve me not being at work :D.
6 working days until y11 leave
    Moderation target of 90%
    Marking target of 100%
    Bunny target of 15
    Exercise target of 15
    NSD target of 16
2 trips to bham: 1 short and 1 several days
1 ruby wedding bash to attend
    1 dentist appointment to keep
    3 counselling appointments
    1 governor meeting
    1 grandson due :D

Given tomorrow's dreary forecast, we may not make a big day out of it, but dd - quite rightly - would like to 'do something'...

I like this 'numbered' approach to the month - I may borrow it! :)

Life is sounding more settled, apple - hope you are feeling that that is the case xx

Glad you like the numbers greent! My favourite one is usually the number of days not at work...

Started the day with a Zuzana workout I did recently. 15 min AMRAP of 10 rev lunge + kick up; sumo jump squat + side leg lift; pistol + 1-leg deadlift; curtsey lunge + side kick; squat to lung jump. My legs no longer belonged to me by the end!

We have already been in to town. The weather was too grotty to venture too far afield, so us grown ups just followed dd around where she wanted to go. We found a Monster H1gh hoodie for £3 in a ch shop, and dd bought an Apple Jack doll for £8 from the entertainer. We did stop in at sbux for 2 drinks and one of their 'bounce' balls (total total rip off, of course, but now I know!). We resisted lots of footwear in sp0rtsdirect, though it was well worth a look. All in all, under £9 of my money parted with.

Now we are home and fed. Dd will play, I'll do some bunny stuff and dh will be messing about with computers. Perfick.

Tuesday = run home day. So I did. Ooph.

It is also Brownies day, so I should make over 20k steps. Ooph once more.

Tomorrow = lots of buses day, as I need to bank a cheque and will avail myself of the opportunity to take 2 bags to the Sally Army. Potentially a 3-bus trip each way, but if I'm clever, I may do in in 2, thus saving some pennies... as well as reducing one of the many piles of stuff we have...

2 Sally Army bags delivered. Another one half full already.

Charity shops perused (as had 58 mins until the bank opened!), and a few purchases made: 2x vests for dd 1,75; Holes book 50p, on her reading list; rucksack 3.99 for dd's dance kit as her current rucksack is jam packed!; beautiful bath bombs for a birthday were 2.99, but well worth it.

Sainz, for once, yielded up some surprising bargains, only because I happened to go down those particular aisles. 2x gf bourbons for 20p instead of £1.40 and 9(!!!)x gf/df chocolate also for 20p instead of £1,50. Therefore, for £2.20 spent, I acquired goods 'worth' £16.30. Nice.

The card factory was a surprising find, as despite reading rave reviews and comments about it on here, today was my first visit there. So, for just over £3 we have cards for the grandson when he deigns to arrive, a ruby wedding celebration and a sympathy card.

Well, no marking or moderating to do yet (cor, I do sound keen!) so the lot falls to the bunnies to occupy my time... Time to get my lunch, pop the telly on and then stuff limbs and bodies.

Hi apple, just caught up, but I totally blame you! Since reading your thread and the balance you achieve I have been inspired to change my focus and it has changed my life for the better - we have all benefited. I have been very busy sorting and organising and getting better sleep.

I get up early now to walk, think and plan..so I don't read as many diaries, but I will always read yours. So pleased you are making such good progress and 20 days not at work is brilliant :)

So sorry earthgirl! But having 'read diaries' on a 'must-get-it-done' list ain't good, I find. And catching up every so often can make for a very good read indeed...

So, am back up at mum's. Got here for 10pm last night, chatted to big sis, got to bed extremely late (for me) and slept until 8!

I have been unable to remove about half of the picturehooks that must have been hammered into the walls before being painted over. I need better pliers and better grip - I stopped because continuing would have really hurt my hands. But I have polyfillered the holes that I did make.

I have taken photos of a few things to put on freegl/freecyc next time I am here, and have been sorting through photos and papers. It is much harder to do it here than at dad's as mum is still with us(!). I have mostly re-sorted the photos I 'kind of' sorted last time, which is good, as any more now go into their correct pile. It makes for a covered floor, though...

Time to get another container of stuff and try to reduce it...

I am going back tonight, so just a flying visit, and now have just 2 hours before I go and see mum. So what am I doing on here, then, I hear you mutter...!

And, now I am back home. A little bit of fast walking + some running got me home about 50 mins earlier than expected. Result. Well worth steaming away on the last train!

Had a nice visit with mum. Her room looks much better with the extra furniture in. And, for the first time, her bags were not packed and ready to leave. I took in some framed photos, and big sis took some books later on. We don't give them to mum, just leave them in her room for her to find.

Feeling sad tonight. My bestest cousin's husband died a few days ago. He hadn't been ill for too long, and had spent his last few days in a hospice. So sad. I am unable to go to the funeral as it is a day that I work.

Up at 6.30 to do an hour's exam stuff before the others awoke. Did ok. The next batch of stuff only came live at 10, so that is waiting for me...

Got a wash done; did that Zuzana workout that turns my legs to jelly; have been to and from dance classes with dd; we are both fed and watered; dh has trundled off to prep stuff for our friends' ruby wedding anniversary bash tonight. Dd and I will go along later.

Enough avoiding it... off to tackle that next batch...

We got in super late from the ruby bash. Dd and I at 10.40pm and dh at 1am - neither of us helped by bus shenanigans. But we all arrived safe and sound, which is a good thing.

Therefore, today has been a most pottering day, much needed.

I have to do a bit more of my marking, but that should go smoothly. Got some done today and will try to do the rest tomorrow (my brain was not functioning enough to do it justice today, so I'll need to check what I've done very carefully!) It may take me until Tuesday to complete it, but that is ok.

I have written a plan for the week, and when I hope to be able to get marking or moderating or knitting big sister's cardigan done. I have sadly realised that the bunnies will have to take a very back seat for now... And I may not be able to run home on Tues, as I may be carrying lots of stuff. Ah well, I can still do some killer workouts at home. Bring on Zuzana...!

Basically, the next 4-5 weeks almost need to be micro-managed, to get everything done. But still have family and fun time.

    Enough wittering!

    Week 7/12

Health: generally good, but overeating on the wrong stuff for my body still, resulting in feeling meh and tight clothes. Not good! Plenty of exercise last week. Hands ok, feet fine. V tired after travelling, seeing mum and the ruby bash, but getting more sleep is helping.

Wealth: good nsd count thus far, meaning v little spent. Was able to shift some money into the savings we use from my current acct. Moderation and marking both have the go-ahead, so need to crack on with them asap (I have a cunning plan...). Some v good ch shop buys + 2 bags deposited there.

Life well lived: a comment from big sis made me realise that mum really does still need us to visit her a lot, so I expect to be going there fortnightly still, for quite a while. The work/life balance is shifting: y11s 'leave' on thurs and the exam is on tues of next week, so no extra lessons during study leave for them. So, extra free periods at work, but mostly not in my room so no scanning, filing, clearing etc possible. However, I have made a sizeable list of things to get done! And at home, I have much more to do - it is always a push to complete the moderation (often because some centres do not understand the concept of a deadline!),and I am balancing moderating + marking. So, a schedule - and sticking to it - is required. The deadline for it all is the same as the end of my 12 weeks. Handy!

Once again, I'm twittering on. Oopsie.
