Sorry to worry you, earthgirl! I'm impressed with how quickly it was removed.
Today saw us garner quite a decent charity shop haul:
Levi 501s for me £1
Long sleeved sports top for me £1
2x babyclothes to use in crafting 50p
Jeans for dd £1
3x French books £1.50
1x monster h1gh doll £1.25
4 other MH or something of that ilk £8 (used SA credit, so free :j)
So, just £6.25 of real money parted with.
And dd opted not to go to sbux for a drink, saving us around £4. Turns out dh had been looking forward to his coffee, but he didn't tell us, so he missed out!
The weather was clement enough for dd to play out this afternoon, although she was well cold when she came in. The biscuits I'd made went down well - lemony ones, and gingerbready ones. Yum. And the recipes are from a 10p Cookie book I bought myself for Cmas.
Big sis sent me pics of dad's garages today. Totally empty. Awesome. Though sad too, as it means that the end of the connection to the house I grew up in is nearer.
Dd has just been telling me that she doesn't feel the need to try to fit in anymore, and doesn't mind what other people think of her, because God has a plan and she can trust him. (shs, I promise she hasn't been reading your thread!) Awesome child.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
That is very cool Apple. Your DD and me "We got this!".0

Week 5/12
Health: still a lot of walking; minimal headspace - oops; good reading and quiet times. Ordered some more walking shoes as the soles of mine had become so thin. I have missed my dad a lot today. I think this is due to his house being cleared and therefore nearly being ready to sell - the end of my connection to it and to growing up.
Wealth: car will soon be gone; used buses 5/7 days this week - about £19.00; charity shop spends £11 ish; dd really wants to go to Canada in the summer to see her big sis + new nephew (dues may), but we do not have the money for it. Should it be a car/Canada choice?
Life well lived: sent off ep1pg and 2; good talks with dh - he works so hard at looking after us; eating still not any better (might focus next week on upping my veg intake);NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I got my veg + fruit intake up today. It does take more thought and planning when I am out of the habit.
Lovely work friend gave me a lift part of the way home and I got home in record time for a Monday. It was still quite daylighty too. The buses in to work had also been providential and I was there 20 mins earlier than normal. Just as well as it was a busy ol' day.
11.5k steps walked.
No added sugar apart from my 85% chocolate.
Off to read a book now.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Thank you, earthgirl!
A good day at work, and I ran half way home. Go me! I ran the part at the start that I usually walk, and a bus obliged by arriving at the same time as me. I then steamed away on the bus for 20 mins - couldn't see out of the side window, it was that steamed up - and then I ran through the woods and home. About 40 mins of running in total. Ooph.
Collected dd from school, have taken her to brownies, and once I have collected her I shall have done over 20k steps.
I have a very long list of jobs for tomorrow. The pta have allowed me to have a table at the Easter Fair for £20. (The summer fair will cost £25 which I think is asking too much, so I'll not be doing that one). One of tomorrow's jobs is to stocktake my bunnies and maybe start on some more... I should save some smaller makes for when up at mum's at half term, as I'll be there for 5 days. Planning ahead required.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
January review based on NST Jan:
Minimal payments made to mortgage. But had to sort a £600+ c tax bill for dad's place near the start, so haven't wanted to relocate the money in my account, just in case... But now that I have been paid, I may feel able to make some more payments..
Exercise = 18. Helped enormously by having no car, as I count 15K+ steps as 1 exercise. And then there are awesome days like today that include a run and mega steps (will be over 22k by bed time)
Charity donations done as usual, plus 4 rebags to the sally army.
Working towards a 2017 goal has been ongoing - as it should be - and each week sees us creeping slightly nearer to selling dad's house and housing mum.
I have remained coffee-free; I've read as much as I wanted to; I've not crafted much, nor done Headspace.
Dd had a fun birthday and we have some plans for half term.
£16.55 in the ch shops, plus about £12 of SA credit used.
The car has been sold. When I asked dh about whether is should be canada or car, he pointed out that mum may not be sorted by the summer, so planning a long trip would be silly. Good point.
There you go. January.
I am grateful for my dh who is always looking out for and after us, and my gorgeous dd who is growing in to a lovely young lady.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Day 1 of Feb and I am signed up to the NST challenge: a winter voyage. And of course my 12 week plan is still running in the background.
I have the go-ahead for a table at dd's Easter Fair, so I got out all my bunnies today, to assess what needs making. I 'only' have 25 of them... which dd thinks is loads, but which won't fill a table. I have cut out 4 more so far - had forgotten how long they take. But I do enjoy making them.
Dh and I had a good sainz shop - stuck to our list, added it up as we went along, and got it to £30.35. We got given 600 points instead of 300 by a lovely cashier, and then used a £3 off voucher.
A good friend came round and we had a good natter for a couple of hours before collecting children.
I had a chat with both dd's teacher and the dep head about dd and school. Dd was there, so no secrets from her. It has helped her to feel more in control and less scared/ overwhelmed by things.
I made some savoury flapjacks today - scrumptious.
Only made it to 8000 steps as dh wanted to use the bus to and from sainz. But my body is quite glad of the break.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
