We have the original EPA plus two certified copies. Huge sighs of relief all round. (And it means I won't have to detour via the city centre tomorrow)NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Cor! Over 5 hours spent at dad's house. 3 of them with estate agents. Brain overload. However, we have made a decision on which one to use. And also on how to move forward with clearing the house ready for putting on the market. And some solicitor stuff.
Tomorrow is visiting some local care homes in the morning.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Week 4/12:
Health: plenty of walking again and 1 workout. I thought I had broken my fitbit today/yesterday, as it went quickly from the low battery symbol to non-functioning. However, plugging it in to charge on my laptop and logging in to my account woke it up again. Shame it registered none of today's steps, but I am so glad it is working. My eating is slightly better; my sinusy cold seems to be abating as I am using fewer tissues, but still get hot v easily and weary after just 1 flight of stairs; toes still achey; plenty of water drunk; daily stretches done; books read.
Wealth: the car is too costly to mend so will be going; dh has bought enough bars of choc to feed everyone in dd's class 2 bars - he thought we didn't have enough!! Only 50p in a ch shop for a knitting mag. Bus spends are ok, given that I have used them every day - got a couple of freebie journeys as the card reader wasn't working.
Life well lived: quiet times, walks all doing me good; v little headspace; back to playing the game I'd stopped and it really does waste my time, so I'm stopping it again this week; reading nice fiction books; planning ahead to this week as it is rather busy and I need to take it steady; big sis had a good weekend off 'mum duty'; survived ofsteed's visit to dd's sch where I am a governorNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

If you continue having fitbit issues it may well be worth emailing them/ googling the issue - I had a brand new one sent out to me. I googled my problems and lots of others had similar (I have a Charge HR) and fitbit seemed to be replacing foc no problem xI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200

Left home at 6.35 to catch buses to work; left work at 12.50 after working the morning; leaving house again at 4.30 ish for y9 parents + options evening; planning to leave said evening before the official end to get home before my bedtime. What an exciting life I lead
. Well, the alternative was to fill the 5 hours with wandering around the shops - eek! - and not see dd at all today
.
Fitbit is fully functioning - phew. Currently on 12k but still got those journeys to do...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

12 buses.
19+k steps.
Have been offered some money for the car, which will drop by 25% once we have paid for the tow to the garage plus our friend's fee for looking at it. But at least it is something! And it is simple, and requires no searching for a buyer from us. We are in agreement to accept the offer.
Dd managed a day at school - she caught my cold and has had a streaming nose. We are fully kitted out with balm tissues, ibuprofen and paracetamol now, after running dangerously low.
I think that tomorrow I shall set out on a quest to find orange wool, carrotty orange, for knitting snowman noses of course.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Now that's what I call planning ahead!:D

The car buyer agreed to £50 more than his original offer
. Still not a lot, but the lump of metal will no longer be our problem.
Dd found the instructions for making a hanging felt rabbit - perfect for Easter. She was so excited! (Me too, to be honest)
I discovered on Monday that, as well as many of my socks being worn through under the balls of my feet or on the back of the heel, my walking boots sole was extremely thin and not comfy walking over bumps. So I tried on my old-and-consigned-to-be-used-only-for-gardening boots and they felt like walking on those gel air scholl comfort shoe insert thingies that I see on the adverts so frequently. Guess which boots I'm wearing until my amzn order arrives...
Dh has finally had the time to do some more computering work. When we step back and look at it, our lives really are blessed. We have income, food, warmth, clothes, love. I am able to help out a little with mum because dh is around at home. Our lives really are full of luxuries and comforts.
I got on with some chicks knitting today. All 10 now have their heads stuffed, a ribon tied round their neck, and eyes. No beaks as yet, and boy don't they look weird without. I found a He11o Kitty fleece in the ch shop - whilst looking for that elusive orange wool, I assure you - that I plan to make into smallish cushions, to sell at dd's Easter fair. I shall resign myself to the £20 fee, and simply be proud of my wares. So, normal bunnies, a dozen hanging felt bunnies (decreed by dd, as we have 12 buttons for their noses), 2 dozen yellow chicks, maybe some white chicks, HK cushions and maybe some easter cards designed by dd. Last year I did creme egg hats, complete with an egg. But prices are rising, so I don't think I'll do them this year. (Although I reserve the right to change my mind...)
