Dh was on pa, so after dropping dd at kis klub, I pottered in to town, as I didn't want to be sitting on my own in church. There are plenty of people I could sit next to, but I wanted dh!

One visit to £land and Holl and B later, and 2bags of stuff! I took advantage of being on my own to peruse h+b and find their g-f and lactose-free goods, and used their BOGOHP offer to get pea butter, biscuits for dd (I will make our own, but wanted some spares) and dairy-free choc spread. Dh has found a choc nutbutter that sainz should sell too.

We shall be keeping every single reciept (have gotten rather slack over this) in order to check prices. If only I didn't have to do the work malarkey too...

Today it is mum's op. Big sis has texted to say she is up, so no need to phone her to wake her. She has instructions to update me regularly, even if it is 'no news'.

Teaching starts today. And I have a lunch duty too. But first, a meeting, then some time to hopefully complete the required paperwork (I prefer the French word: paperasse). I get overwhelmed by paperwork quite often. Currently it is the mix of work, will, coeliac.

Dh and I were going to discuss financials on Thurs eve - our first eve where we are both in this week. But I am travelling to see mum. So we have tentatively brought it forward to weds daytime.

Best shake a tail feather. Ambreakfasted and coffeed, washed and hairbrushed. Just need to be clothed!

a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library

My sister is amazing! She took a very tetchy mum to the hospital and apart from the actual op, has stayed with her all day. Including taking her to the loo, feeding her. And she has got 2 lots of washing done.

We have realised just how worn out many of mum's clothes are, as she has been unable to buy any for a while now, but we hadn't realised. Big sis is all for simply replacing things, I tend more to supplementing what she has and letting her throw the old tatty ones away once she has new. And not too much all at once, either!

More physio tonight. She was impressed with how much range of movement I have gained, despite jarring it when I fell the other weekend. More exercises to do and another appointment in 2 weeks.

Work was very tiring today, but tomorrow I finish at lunchtime. Yippee!

It was a joyful experience, to leave work at lunchtime! I had had lovely classes too, which always helps.

Once home, I did a mini workout: zuzana warm up, 200 side step ups onto a dining chair + 20 forward ones with a reverse lunge. That was plenty - took about 13 mins. And it is so warm and humid here that I was sweating for aaages afterwards.

Dsis has once again proven how much she deserves sainthood. She has achieved a huge amount with the hospital, support staff, social worker, mum, consultant...

Dd's dietitian appt was cancelled - we found out today. Not too impressed. Not yet got a replacement one.

Tomorrow I am not at work:
    -school run
    -run
    -Make 2x dentist appt
-check up on dd's presc at chemist
    -read that manual for 60mins
    -book train ticket
    -marking
    -talk financials with dh
    -respond to certain emails
    -food shop

Am sure I have forgotten some things and the list in my head is much longer...

Oooh, I have done everything on my list and been to the circus with dd. It was sooo loud, but really skillful and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It means that she is still awake as it only finished at 9.

The run made me look like a tomato, as it was easily over 20 degrees by 9am and very muggy. Onc again, I arrived home feeling smug that I hadn't fallen over. Perchance I am setting my goals a tad low...

It was blissful not going to work, but dd had 'slept' in with us, so hardly a blissful night. Tomorrow is a working day that finishes 1 lesson early. Then home, pack and head off to see big sis and mum.

Am really, really considering invoking the poa once we've taken advice on it and know what it entails.

Right, dd is still not asleep but I shall lose myself in HP - the books are addictive!
