18.5% paid off so far. :D

Off to the library today with dd. Maybe also to the Sally Army as we have 2 bags ready for them. :T

Need to buy bread for dd as the chemist mucked up her prescription again. This time they LOST it! Along with one for dh that I put in at the same time...

I stewed up some of our apples and blackcurrants yesterday, so I shall make some jam tarts later.

The garden is on the list to be tackled today. There is a bush that I do not like so I plan to dig it up, which should leave me space to plant my white lavenders. And the passion flower is rather huge, as is the rose bush. But they may need to be left until they stop flowering...

The jam tarts are cooking as I type.

The garden got a little weeded, as the rain started as soon as I got out there. The bush will live to see another day... For now...

Dd has joined the summer reading challenge and taken out 4 books.

I have taken 2 bags to the SA. And for a grand total of £4.75: a Barbie DVD; a crafting mag; a Next work shirt; a GAP hoodie. :D All lovely and joyful.

I have exercised and done over 10k steps.

    Tomorrow:
-sort through tubs of toys in the bathroom
    -be in for potential sale
    -swim?
    -konmarie my jumper collection
    -and my socks!
    -cut out more little robins
    -exercise: run?
-sew buttons on mac, and give away
-pay over the pennies I said I'd pay over several days ago
    -talk to sister
    -top-up phone payg
-add to my coloured lists of taks to do, and try to do one of them

Lots of little things, but they should keep me moving and enforce less screen time...

Money paid off the mortgage for spends when with my sister, plus the petrol costs. Happy.

Went for a run - I'd looked at the c25k website, and did 5 min brist walk followed by 1 min jog, 1 min walk and a 5 min walk at the end. Twas enough!

Came home to some bad news, so am mighty pleased I did that run, as it set me up to cope.

The potential sale went through, so another £10 to pay off.

Off to pack and work out train times.

Thank you pearla. They are very much needed.

It is all too complicated and overwhelming at the moment, with so much to do and sort out, coupled with the massive grief. And there may yet be more to come. I am grateful we are in the summer holiday period which means that both my sister and I are available without needing time off work. Or even having to let work know until we have all the information.

I am going home today but my sister is staying. BIL is coming down on Mon as moral support. I shall return asap after Weds, as dd has her annual hospital check with the consultant that day. And there are things I need to tell him.

Thank you, all of you. I really appreciate it, as not many people in real life know yet.

Here's the short version, but you don't have to read it. My dad died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning; when mum was leaving his house (they live apart) she tripped and landed with a wallop on her face; neighbours took her to A&E and picked me up and took me to her once I had arrived, which was several hours later, she was discharged soon after as no damage other than a scrape and humungous bruise; dad needs a postmortem as he was not on any meds and although 86yo, old age as a cause doesn't do him justice; mum is suffering memory issues which are exacerbated by the double trauma and we need to get her to a memory clinic soon, and cannot leave her on her own at all at the mo; mum went to the hospital today re a lump she found and it is cancerous so they will operate and treat her.

The good? Dad no longer lives in fear of dying; he was still in his own house; it was not prolonged at all; he is now at peace and free, and we will see him again.

I do feel guilty at leaving my sister with mum, and coming home. But she sent me home, as dd needs her mum around for a bit before I go back.

So much to arrange and do, in some ways it is better that the admin is delayed, as it gives us time to think, ponder, contact the right people and learn what order to do things in.

I shall be going for a run (or a waddle...) tomorrow, as it helps me cope, and take dd out on her bike.
