How to men do it? Mr Merle manages to produce the same sort of laundry levels whilst away, the mind baffles.
I'm so late to the game, what is this Ziffit place, is it better than music magpie? Or only good for books?
Oh, is the impressionists that one about Monet et al? Is it being repeated somewhere? Utterly loved it.
Ps love the sound of those coconut pancakes & savoury flapjack recipes, have bookmarkedHave you been on the iquitsugar site? So many great recipes on there (we may have talked about this already, lol, apologies if so) x
a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. Hi Pearla! Thank you for all the pms. They are sooooooo good and useful and informative and simply wonderful! Thank you for taking the time to write them. I know I need to do more research and planning, but so etimes just getting through the day and getting dd to sleepis all I can do! My school fair is in 23 days and I feel ready for it, even if I don't make another thing between now and then.
It'll be bunnies and mice and lavender bags and the bits leftover from the Cmas fairs.
I do want to knock up some 'cards' to give with sales - just with a few pics and my email on. I may manage to put a load of mice in among the daisies tomorrow for a few pics... Pricing is an issue as I have no idea what people will pay and don't want to put people off... But I've a plan forming somewhere in the recesses of my brain matter.
I've another 4 (blue this time) bunnies to attach limbs and add faces to. I could possibly complete 8 tomorrow... If you see some porcine beasties in the air, then you'll know I did it.
On another note, day 4 of grain and sugar free totality. Feeling good. Not so many steps today - only a brief 1k walk done before work - but I did manage the 10k.
Tomorrow is : school run; take a friend for coffee and cake - I pay; possibly go to liddle for rice; take decent photos of bunnies and mice; washing; finalise expenses/fees...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
So...school run done. Coffee (and NO cake!!!) with friend - had a mega great natter and also did some ch shops where I, as usual, garnered some bargainaceous items... Let me enumerate:
£3 on some big lovely pale green tartanish curtains - they are apparently damaged. For bunnies.
£2 on 2 thickish white sheets. For bunnies.
£3 on a skirt with small flowers on it. For bunnies.
£1 for a wicker basket thingy. To display bunnies.
£2.95 on a set of Flower Fairies books that dd will love.
50p on a bigish blue dolphin for dd. Not quite blublu, which she has wished for every time she has a wish, but at 50p it was a steal!
£1 on a shirt for dh.
£2 on tops for dd and a dress to send out to s africa.
Have also had a reply for moderating, so that claim is ready to be posted.
And have sorted out dd's messed up prescription (grrr) and will get dh to collect and drop it off at the chemist later.
Wash #2 is on the line and #3 in the machine.
I shall now go and pay in some money to the bank.
Must order a present later on. It's in my amzn basket but need to buy 20 squids worth. May increase the felt amount...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Well done!Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Thank you MWC! Now I just need to cut out some more...
The curtains I acquired turn out to be even more bargainaceous than I thought. They are lined with black out fabric which I shall use to replace the 'not quite long enough' ones we have in our room (given to us), and which can then be used in the spare room. Result!
Paid in some cheques and as they are mostly dh's, asked him what to do with the money. He replied that he didn't mind, and has agreed to split it between savings and the mortgage. I would LOVE to get into the 40s this month, but can't see it happening. Shame. 1944 is just a tad too much.
I still have a fantasy of finding a rolled up bundle of notes in the street that will somehow be enough to pay off the mortgage!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Pearla - I usually have tabs open for mus mag, z1ff1t, webuyb00ks, amazn, to find the best offer!
Yes, it is The Impressionists. Each time I watch it (on my 4th viewing this year) I discover more that is wonderful to watch. It gives the pupils a great overview of Monet and the Impressionist painters. Now we just need to switch into French to discuss it.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
