- hope you are okay.
Thanks Florenceem. I am good thanks, apparently it was either muscular or reflux-after numerous blood tests and a chest X-ray.
I am doing some baking this afternoon-as well as resting :rotfl:GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Someone had dumped them with a piece cut out of the leg part. I washed and
pressed them then cut them up.
Finished making a raggy rag bag - used the jeans.
The largest piece of fabric needed to make the bag is 9 inch square. Didn't
have quite enough fabric so put lining material in the top side gusset. Took
the finished bag outside to brush the raggy rag edges - makes lots of mess.
Size of bag is - 16 x 14 x 4 1/2 inches. This is a Christmas present for
DDIL.
I am going to make myself one of these bags for when I visit a show - nice
size to carry and the straps are long enough for on shoulder.
I used vintage trims and buttons to embellish the bag.
I love your bag ! It looks great! What a good way to use up old jeans-I would never have thought of that.
My DD has bought me the Great British Sewing Bee book with the traceable patterns of all the makes on this series-so technically I haven't added to anything as it was a gift, and I'm hoping it will help me use up my stash of stuff! :j :jGE 36 *MFD may 2043

Not sure. I'm recording the whole series but I've only seen the first 2 episodes so far. I need to catch up with it.
If you're interested in the book, my DD got it from Asd@ and it's price marked at £25 but they are selling it for £12 :TGE 36 *MFD may 2043

Anyone know best place to buy the magnetic bag fasteners please? I have seen them cheap from China - are they any good?
Look on Etsy for the magnetic fasteners Florenceem, they are a lot cheaper on there, you can buy ten for the price of a couple on ebay. They come from abroad and take about 3 weeks to arrive but the savings are far worth it x0 -
Florenceem; I am amazed at what you have done with an old pair of jeans - absolutely fabulous darling! You should make more of them and flog them on ebay for the price of a designer bag......you could retire, what an inspiration you are. Well done!!

Hi everyone,
Just had quick skim read through posts. Sorry not taken time to thank everyone's posts but did read and admire all the projects.
Life been sad, busy and sick in our family circle with a lot going on.
Anyway managed at the eleventh hour to finish 30 felt flower magnets for Epilepsy Awareness day for dear friend's son to give to helpers. He is featured on Epilepsy Action website with his purple day gifts and his family story. It has been an honour to make these for such a good cause.
I have also used stash to make more scrapbook kits for friends and stuff for childrens Easter party.
Dd off on school trip 3 days made tea cup and saucer out of card filled with choc bunnies and mini eggs for teachers survival kits. Wrapped in cello looked fab. Hope they will like them. Wanted one myself!
I have reached my 52 target and promptly rewarded myself with a felting machine! Wonder how much stash I can use with that!
Will have to set a new target to myself to make 50 felted items on new machine.
Have been making cushions hello kitty, monkeys, elephants, Easter bunnies and more at sewing class.
I hope to get back soon to check out everyone's ideas more thoroughly. Well done to you all:)0 -
Forgot to add Cricuit imagine on eb@y ex demo £59.990

mothernerd, take things easy - everything will get done in the end.
rufusdog, I like that bag very much. What pattern did you use?
tattycath, thinking of you, take care - mmm I can almost smell your baking!
floreneceem, another super make. You've trained your OH well, for him to bring you found items.
GBSB - I love that programme! I think the right person went last night. Don't want to name who I think will win, in case it spoils it for others catching up. All 3 ladies have a good shout, for different reasons, and I'll be happy for any of them to win. Don't think it will be last night's star garment maker. Of the other two - will it be flamboyance or classic lines?
I have used stash only to make a card for son's engagement. Future DIL loves stars and the colour blue, so that was my starting point. The card is a very pale blu, although it looks white in the pictures. Apologies for my kitchen intruding - the light was best in there tonight.
