I used odd decoupage sheets that I had printed off myself and backing papers bought when Lakelond was selling craft stuff. Some of my stash is really old!

I have some old Lakeland stuff too Florenceem, I will have to get cracking with some of my embellishments.

I have finally sewn a blanket of knitted squares together so 1 down 499 to go Lol. :j

If someone can tell me how to download a pic on here I can put it on.

Love2shop2 - perhaps you should count the number of squares in your blanket towards your target ! LOL!

Florenceem - I used to love Lakeland stuff, got loads myself. Love your Easter cards, the images are so cute. I've got to get into the Easter spirit soon, no doubt I will have to make two Easter hats for my kids shortly! :(

Tattycath - can't believe you made all that stuff in one day, it takes me all afternoon to make fairy cakes! LOL!

Susan42 - you're right, I'm always using free gifts from Cardmaking mags that I had years ago, loads of people do the 'first past the post' with theirs, I must be last past the post!

RufusDog52 I love the shoes and bag, very unique!

Florenceem the pencil cases look great! I struggle with zips :(

Susan42 I keep thinking about doing something with buttons, might see if I can find the canvas I bought a couple of years ago...

Managed to make 3 more cards yesterday and finished a 'taggy' blanket for my son - just got to add it to my blog now. Not sure I'm making much of a dent in my stash, but it's really encouraging me to make things rather than just thinking about it. And I love getting ideas from this thread too :)

Debrak - I love your idea for counting the squares in my blanket for my target. (The thought had crossed my mind but I didn't think I would get away with it though!)

Florenceem - I love your cards - Fantastic!!

Tattycath - I quite fancy a job in quality control, so if you need anything tasting just let me know!! ;-)

  • Made 5 things this morning (well 1 last night). Shrink plastic charms. 4 of them curled and stuck to each other last night which is why i remade them this morning. Pics will be on my blog, probably tomorrow. As for me, today i am going to meet my favourite group!

Managed 40 out of my 50 target now.
Seems like Flickr has changed again. Had a problem working out how to get a photo here today.
I finished making some padded hangers for my youngest DGD. I stitched cute heart buttons on to stop clothes slipping off the hangers.

    Hi all,

I'm back - sorry for the long absence but unfortunately the kids and me have not been feeling great. There was a sickness bug going around their school and although we were not actually sick all three of us felt really sick and had bad headaches and no energy for what felt like ages :( All feeling a bit better now though so back to the crafting. :)

Wow - you guys have all been very busy in my absence - I am very impressed :) Will catch up with the thread now and comment again very soon.

Before I do I can report that I have just finished making my two mother's day cards which will be sent to my mum and MIL tomorrow so that's two more things closer towards my target figure and I've also completed one more page of Project Life and almost completed another 2 :)

So for now that's 3 more things to add to my totals :)

OK catch up time - buckle your seatbelts - this is going to be a long ride (again) :-

dibuzz - Well done on leaving the wool shop empty handed - I am VERY proud of you :)

florenceem - super tea towels - you are tea towel crafting machine :) I don't think you are being mean at all :) I am going to try and find the program on catch up tonight - hopefully it might make me feel better (or it might depress me into realising that I too am like that - or even worse :) I too have a pile of made items with nowhere to store them :) But it does feel good to actually be using my supplies :) Love the pencil cases - that material is lush :) Glad to see your stash is also being used to help others :) Love the cards as well - is there no stopping you? :) Love the hangers too. And I used to love Lakeland craft too. No doubt I still have lots of their bits and bobs lurking in my stash somewhere :)

ziggy2407 - I have added uploading a picture of my teabag cards to my list so will hopefully try and get them uploaded to my blog or facebook page very soon for you to look at. However if you need to make a pocket what you could do is use a piece of card and then just glue three sides down and leave the top open. This will form a little pocket for you to slide the teabag into. It would be even easier to remove the teabag if you also cut a little notch (or punched a half circle) in the middle of the open edge. Hope this helps :)

Maisie M - beautiful cards :) Your mums are going to pleased I should think :)

greentiger - thank you :) Beautiful cards and well done on making the "twin".

loopychris - oooh love the look of the fragrant hanger - I want one of those now :( I'll have to look in my stash and see what I've got to see if I can "mimic" one :) I certainly can't see a hole in my stash yet - I think looking at how much I actually have I don't think I will see one until about 2044 :) Glad you got your hands on the Beano :)

mooloo - hope you had a fab time at the hen party and well done on making the veil :) Sorry to hear about your stash getting wet - I had the same thing happen to lots of my bits which were stored in my sheds :( I also hate it when the kids away - as you say the house seems so quiet :( It does mean I can get more crafting done though to take my mind of it :)

rufusdog52 - OMG - those shoes and bag are amazing - I wish my mum would make me things like that. I am sooooo going to have to try this. I've got loads of bags I don't use but so would if they looked like that :)

susan42 - thank you :) Love the button pictures - they are fab and have inspired me to dig out my canvases and use some of my enormous stash of buttons as well :) I agree about using older stash - it does make your creations more unique :)

emslovesmickey - beautiful card - I keep lusting over the Sew Lovely range :) Also love the shrink plastic charms - you are one talented lady :) I love shrink plastic but hardly ever use it cos it scares me too but I might just get some out and have play very soon :)

Keep up the good stash busting crafters :)

tattycath - yum yum - I love cake :) Wish I could bake - if you have any left over then please remember who started this thread :) Good luck with the hangers :)

love2shop - well done on finishing one blanket - you can count your projects however you want to - so if you want to count squares instead then you do it girl :)

debark - don't worry you are not last past the post. I don't think I have ever yet used a free kit which came with a magazine to make anything - I just add them to my stash pile for that "special project" moment :)

emmibush - well done on the cards and taggy blankie. I still love feeling ribbons. It is sooo soothing :)
