More great makes here.greentiger wrote: »Kinski - good work on the bunting. I like the idea of oh's kilt with bunting shapes cut out - nice and airy!
emmi- I can't see your cards
ziggy - lovely cards
susan - I'm going to attack my fabric stash tomorrow EEK! but I probably will just refold it all - you never know when it may be useful (see below lol)
I used up some leftover curtain fabric (about 30 years old lol) and some pre-quilted fabric to make a sleeve for my laptop. I think I have enough left to make a matching tote bag to carry it in along with its cables, mouse etc. But may need to buy some fabric for lining - does that count as stash busting?

I also used up some more muslin, wadding and embroidery thread to make a St Patrick's Day card. I also used a sheet of white card, a sheet of paper (for the insert) and 3 sheets of green card because I kept messing up the frame. Still not happy with it, but that's partly because I made the embroidery a bit too big and so frame is narrower that I would have liked.

I used some fabric from my stash to make padded hangers - kept the left over scraps though.

Had computer problem - back online but with slow connection until new plug ins arrive.

Hi all, sorry for long absence again - internet playing up and also busy with my kiddios taking part in sporting comps again - I am one proud mummy again

Time for my catch up so here goes - buckle up - your in for a long ride
Florenceem - love your latest makes especially the tea towels. I would never have thought of that and they would make fab gifts
loopychris - I would just go ahead and take the Beano - my hubby knows that if I buy him something like that then there is a good chance I will "borrow" it and turn it into something crafty after a year or so
Also if he is anything like my hubby he has probably already forgotton that it is there
emmi_bush - love the cards and a massive amount of brownie points for not buying the green paint
Well done you
Also great idea to have a present list - I am determined this year that I shall make more gifts to give to my loved ones - good luck
love2shop - hello and welcome. Its great to have you on board. I have the same problem as you - crafty bargains (and some times not so bigger bargains) just leapt out at me and demand to be purchased so you are not alone. Brilliant target figure - come on - you can do it
tattycath - thanks for the kind words - again
Shame on you buying the stuffing - only joking you know you are excused - once a crafter always a crafter
Love the enthusiasm for quilting and patchwork - can't wait to see your masterpiece (says one unstraight sewer to another) With regard to teabags I buy Twinings mixed teabags - you get 25 in a pack for about £1.80. Each are individually wrapped.
scrapmate - how true
If I was any other way I wouldn't be able to complete the challenge yet alone you others
susan42 - I've broken out in a cold sweat just thinking about the lack of chocolate you are suffering. Chocolate inspires my creativity so I just can't stop eating it - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it
Big brownie points for putting everything back in hobbycraft - can I borrow your friend
Well done on tidying the craft room and throwing away some bits. I am so like you and keep all sorts of bits just incase. I was also only yesterday looking at my enormous stash of kanban toppers and thinking - wow - I have a problem
Think I might have to come up with an offset thread for 101 uses for them
nimbo - keep knitting - your doing a grand job - by starting on the biggest projects first means that you will soon be speeding along
kinski - love the bunting - the colours are beautiful
Well done you. I too am imagining your hubby wearing his kilt with bunting flag breeze holes - it is a lovely thought as my husband too has a kilt which I must just have to cut into soon
craftyc - oh I love owls - any chance of a pic?
ziggy2407 - glad to hear you making a bit of a recovery - albeit slowly but any recovery is a good thing
Love the notelets. You are also an inspiration to me
greentiger - love the creations
rufusdog52 - oooh can't wait to see the bag and map shoes
dibuzz - sounds like a plan for the stash - good luck

dibuzz, good luck corralling all your stash. I'm trying to do that too, but there is sooo much and it is in all sorts of places it shouldn't be.

OK I am on a mission. I have just waved my hubby off to work (he will now be away for 18 days in Malta) so am starting my mini "1 a day whilst he's away challenge". I aim to have completed 18 items by the time he returns

Actually I am really hoping to make more than 18 items so I best start now. I've got no real excuse today - we are grounded at home as my car has broken and the kids want a lazy day - so I better start now. The big question is what to start first - I have a long list of things I want to complete - mother's day cards x 2, sons birthday card, catch up on Project Life (I'm 3 weeks behind), Disney PL and some more stock stall - decisions, decisions .......Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Hi all. I hope to post some photos over the weekend.
Went to rag market today.
I only spent £3 and Mr tc spent £2 but I now have an extra 3 metres of pretty fabric.
I will post a photo of one of the pieces later as it looked so pretty and I bought it, but haven't got a clue what to make with it.
I did make 2 cards last night and I covered a gravy tub and made a hole in the lid-for my change.
I bought a glue gun a few. On this ago and only used it for the first time last night. :j
I did discover in one of my Papercraft stash boxes a heat embossed? Brand new in box. I had forgotten I had bought it and have never used it yet.
I looked at all my pretty papers and pieces of card from Kanban ? and create and craft. So now I need to use my inspiration to get creative!
Thanks for the info re. Tea craftingmad.
I bought some the other day from @sda for £1.84. GE 36 *MFD may 2043
