Hello everyone. Wow! I am so pleased to discover that I'm not the only person who can't walk past a wool shop or buy some paper craft items that jump out at me. (honest they really do!!) I have quite a bit of stuff some of which hasn't seen light of day for a couple of years. I confess that I see nice wool and simply have to buy it and have no idea at the time what I am going to knit with it - I just HAVE to have it!! - I wonder if I need therapy sometimes??? I am inspired by everyone who can set a huge target of 500 items to make and will try really hard to do that, so please can I join?

You could be talking about me lol, since this challenge has started I've been very good and hardly bought anything it's mainly been stuff I've needed to finish something of. I've finished the bunting and I'm very very pleased with it, my oh thinks I should make a tartan one for my daughter and her family coming home but he's refusing to let me use his kilt :rotfl:, he hasn't worn it since he was 14 so I don't know what his problem is. I might get some of my many brats to buy me it for Mother's Day so technically as it's a gift it won't count :D

Not a good photo but here's what the bunting looks like, it's approx 4 metres long and I only know that as it's the amount of bias binding I had. I'm now going to make some more for my granddaughters 2nd birthday party in May, she's having her party at home and I thought we could brighten the place up with bunting and paper pom pom's.

Thanks TattyCath for your kind praise. I need to have a look at some blogs from others of you too. Having spent some time going through my craft drawers, I found lots of things that I intended to make as gifts and never finished so I have added a separate gift target of 20 as well as my card target to give me a push in the right direction! It will hopefully give me lots of new things to add to my blog too :)

...going off to choose an item to make a start on now...

Well I was keen to try patchwork wasn't I...
I decided to try quilting-how hard can it be? 2 pieces of fabric, 1 piece of wadding, some binding or similar for the edges :rotfl:
I almost forgot-ability to sew straight is preferable. :rotfl: and I haven't even been at the alcohol!
I decided to 'attempt' a pot stand.
    I will post a picture when I've taken one....let's just say it's a work in progress-and I hope to goodness I improve. :o

I tried to do patchwork years ago as I thought it would be sooooo easy :rotfl:, I had the material all cut to the same size so I've no idea how they didn't match up at the corners and how one square all of a sudden was a few centimetres longer than when I cut it. I've never tried it again :o.

    Ziggy love the notelets

Tattycath - at least you tried the patchwork...I was going to start today watched a video for half an hour to see how it is done. Went to sort the fabrics out and got distracted

Spent whole day tidying craft room - the good news is that the green bin is now full of tat. Boy do I hoard rubbish. People give me things and I keep them incase. So I have been strict with myself and had a good clear out. I found things I didn't know I had.

I found a lap tray with a light. A light box 3 pads of backing papers and a pad full of decoupage. And I don't know how many toppers from my days of visiting kanban,as well as other things. So I been shopping in my craft room.

Kinski ...love the bunting , that another thing on the to-do list

Kinski - good work on the bunting. I like the idea of oh's kilt with bunting shapes cut out - nice and airy!

    emmi- I can't see your cards :(

    ziggy - lovely cards

susan - I'm going to attack my fabric stash tomorrow EEK! but I probably will just refold it all - you never know when it may be useful (see below lol)

I used up some leftover curtain fabric (about 30 years old lol) and some pre-quilted fabric to make a sleeve for my laptop. I think I have enough left to make a matching tote bag to carry it in along with its cables, mouse etc. But may need to buy some fabric for lining - does that count as stash busting?

I also used up some more muslin, wadding and embroidery thread to make a St Patrick's Day card. I also used a sheet of white card, a sheet of paper (for the insert) and 3 sheets of green card because I kept messing up the frame. Still not happy with it, but that's partly because I made the embroidery a bit too big and so frame is narrower that I would have liked.
