Have you got blue and yellow paints - mix them together and you should have green!

Will have a look tomorrow Loopychriss ( my autocorrect wanted to call you 'polypeptide'...) to see if I have those and give it a go! Would be a shame to have to buy something so soon :)

  • Hello everyone. Wow! I am so pleased to discover that I'm not the only person who can't walk past a wool shop or buy some paper craft items that jump out at me. (honest they really do!!) I have quite a bit of stuff some of which hasn't seen light of day for a couple of years. I confess that I see nice wool and simply have to buy it and have no idea at the time what I am going to knit with it - I just HAVE to have it!! - I wonder if I need therapy sometimes??? I am inspired by everyone who can set a huge target of 500 items to make and will try really hard to do that, so please can I join?

Yes, I know what you mean. :o
    I have a confession to make :o
I have bought some hollow fibre filling :o ...
I have also bought almost a metre of wadding :o It was a roll end and measured just under a metre-so they only charged me for half a metre. :D
    Confession over.
Going to try and create now. :rotfl:

Hi love2shop2 , welcome to the thread, I think I have the same bug. I am refraining from craft purchases , I also gave chocolate up, its like going cold turkey (not that I have tried it)

I been to hobbycraft and did not spend , I put everything in my basket, and then when I had looked around the store, I left without anything. I should have really put it back, but the assistant said it would make her look busy. I thanked her profusely. My mate bought loads but it was for her cubs mothers day crafting. Did notice one thing modge podge was £4 for a big pot, I have plenty but its great for decoupage etc.

tattycathy - well done on your bargains

scrapmate - I found some bargains today but as my mate pointed out, I`ve already got the things I was buying

I must be honest I really didnt want anything, I was buying for "the sake of"

Do you find yourselves doing that?

Think I`ll start on the quilt tomorrow, bear in mind I cant sew, I have to thread the machine again as I want a different colour, after sewing up the legs of my trousers last week anything could happen

Florenceen - Love that cushion :-)
Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income

I haven't posted in ages, but am still on with my knitting... I happen to have chosen the two longest pieces of craft to focus on for now... Hey ho, have used two balls of wool in one of them so far, and I can't wait to crack on and get it finished...

Have to say I'm loving the projects that have been finished... I have a feeling that we're all going to be buying pots of modge podge glue soon.... hahaha.

I will be able to add some numbers soon...

    Stashbuster - 2014 98/100 - 2015 175/200 - 2016 501 / 500 2017 - 200 / 500 2018 3 / 500

I've been thinking of getting some at some point...fancy trying some decoupage....obviously after I've achieved more of my objectives from the stash I already have. :)

Well, I spent this morning having an argument with myself about whether I should buy a new green glass paint or not! Part of me just thought I might as well as nobody need ever know; but then I thought 'what's the point joining a challenge if you're not going to stick with it'. So I mixed the colour as suggested and have now finished another 5 cards which I am pleased with! Going to look through more of my stash tomorrow to try to make some Christmas cards nice and early for a change.
