Tattycathy-well done on finishing the curtains:T

Florenceem - well done that outfit is superb. I bet she loved it :T

Greentiger - love the cards, like the colour themes on the kids cards and how effective is the congratulations card , like you said every little helps.

Emmi Bush - well done on the card makes :D

Debrak - welcome and well done on the makes. Your right about decoupage it is building up layers on things. I just got into it and have done two coffee tables and some letters .it was good messy fun. I know Rufus is going to have a go at some shoes;)

Crafty c thank you for the explanation, I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing. It would be a spend . I'm banned lol. Mind you I could encourage my mate to spend as we need to try it. I usually use the heat transfer vinyl and have had some great results . Made vests for DD and she requested some this year. I already have the stuff for that. Saying that I probably have the thermo stuff here somewhere. I know I have rhinestone stuff as I put a small heart on a vest last year and never did it again. You might just have started me off on something lol
As regards Facebook I don't use it. Someone told me you can copy and paste but I use my blog it's so much easier for me. Perhaps one of the other ladies could comment on that. I know some use photobucket

Anyhow I have a free day today so I'm off to play instead of rambling o

    Green Tiger - lovely cards.
Tattycath - look forward to seeing a photo of the curtains.

I have found a piece of curtain fabric in my stash and a bit of vintage sheeting. Started on a new project.

I got another job done this morning, it was one that wasnt on my list but had been laying about for ages. ED bought my eldest GS a hi vis vest (only cheap thing) to wear on his bike in the evenings but he wouldnt wear it so she asked me to see if I could cut it up and make some armbands out of it instead. Got those done today ready for them to pick up over the weekend.

I also cut out the pattern for the bag I want to make, took a while as the pattern just had measurements so I had to cut paper pieces out the correct sizes and there were quite a few bits.

Then I came down and started cutting up the comics for the shoes, might make a start on them tomorrow morning. Just dont want YD coming round when I am in the middle of doing them and seeing them.

  • Made two more items this morning but i would happily have never made anything crafty again than have to do these. My cousin lost his son last night, barely over a year old, so the two things are sympathy cards. It's a hard thing to make at the best of times but when it's for a child it's almost impossible.

Oh em, how tragic, really sorry to hear about this, it's so sad when a child dies. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your cousin and his family xxx

I am so sorry ems - it is horrible to lose anyone but when it is somebody so young it really makes you stop and think. :( Thinking of you and your family at this sad time :(
