oh loopy, I tried to do the throw out/give it away. I got loads of stuff out then couldn't decide what to choose and HOW to do it! It was my cardmaking stuff and I had thought of making up some wee packs to hand in to CS, but when I started putting them together I was thinking, "Well I could make xxx with this lot," so I'd better just keep it, lol. I did give away a couple of paper trimmers, and brand new duplicates of templates/stamps (Why did I have duplicates, you ask? Because I had forgotten I had something already, because I had so much already that I wasn't using, that I forgot I had them in the first place! I must really have liked them, to buy them more than once, mustn't I? So why did I not use them? BECAUSE I HAD TOO MUCH STUFF ALREADY!)

I am trying really hard not to buy anything else. And although I rarely bought anything from that tv channel dedicated to us lot, it did give me lots of ideas and I'd go off and buy the same/similar from elsewhere, if I found it cheaper, so I'm not watching it so much now. I'm actually DOING more too, 'cos watching came out of my crafting time. How daft was that? Watching = more stuff in; Doing = more stuff out!

    Hello All

Apologies all for my absence but I do have a good excuse, lol, on Wednesday 12th Feb approx 9.45pm I was taken to hospital. Having a heart attack at 44 was never something I imagined happening to me but it has and I will be back, I had my op on Thursday morning (13th) and am now the owner of 3 stents within my heart. The consultant can not tell me why it's happened to me but I'm still here and will continue to get ...stronger - I have been told it could be 6-12 weeks before I am back to where I was before and for the first 6 weeks I need to be very careful and not overdo things. So I would love to apologise in advance if I appear to be neglecting our friendship but I will pop on as and when I have the energy.

I think of you all often.

    Love

  • Me again :)

Loopychris - glad you are getting inspiration from all sorts of things :) good luck with the sorting. I have never been any good at getting rid of stash because like greentiger I alwats think I could make that with that etc and then cannot bear to part with it - hence this challenge I suppose :) I am getting a little better now though I think as I listed some things I had already earmarked to sell on facebook the other day to make up for my misdemeanour earlier in the week :)

Greentiger - I know what you mean about that certain tv channel - since this challenge I've watched it far less and been much more productive :)

Ziggy2407 - I am so sorry to hear that :( my thoughts are with you and I hope you are on the mend very soon :)

Well as it was the last day of the school holidays today the kids and I went rollerskating (their choice not mine I would add) but I did manage to make 9 owl treat boxes before we went (I've taken a picture and will try to put them on my blog as soon as I can).

I have also completed another 6 pages of my inspiration book (so only 4 more to go until first book is completed and I can count it towards my total) and I hope to go through and destash a few magazines tonight before going to bed :)

    Happg crafting ;)

Oh Ziggy what a thing to happen! Sorry to hear that you've had a heart attack, but at least you've been sorted now, and have at least 6 weeks to get some crafting done... take care and don't overdo it xxx

Didn't get around to sorting anything today after all, but I have stuck diamantes on 5 of the Order of Service cards - 160 of the things, all with a tiny spot of glue. Only took me just over an hour and a quarter!

Oh..... and I sorted through my button stash today to find some more to cover another frame. I managed to chuck out about 50 that are horrible/broken/not going to be used. Also gave myself another couple of projects: painting and recovering an old ottoman that we were going to chuck out but is going to be renovated to become the dirty linen box. And another button covered picture frame with a saying in it for a girl at my Slimming world group who made me a yummy roulade last week and wouldn't take any money for it.

I think I just like being put under pressure to get things done!

    )

Thank you for liking the mat, I'm quite chuffed with it, oh on the other hand is wondering which one of the grandbrats he can fob the monkey of on :rotfl::rotfl:, I'm just glad I've gotten rid of another pair of socks, only another dozen or so pairs to go lol.

Not a good picture but here's what oh's monkey looks like

So sorry to hear that ziggy. Apologies not necessary, I sincerely hope you're feeling better soon. (((Hugs)))
    Kinski -loving your monkey.
Sorry crafting mad, still haven't managed to sort photos. :o I will try to do them this week.
I had unexpected visitors this weekend-so I think I need to make a couple more draft excluders-may need some more stuffing for them.
I have another kind of confession to make. :o
I really fancy doing the friendship teabags and Mr tc wanted me to go with him to w!lkos last week...I saw some lovely cupcake boutique papers pack-it was £3 for 72 sheets. :o it found it's way into Mr tc's basket :o
He paid for it, so technically it has cost me nothing. :)
I promise I will really try not to add any more stuff (apart from maybe wadding for draft excluders) until I have hit my target of 50 -only 40 to go. :D

Okay seeing as others are confessing their sins I might as well say what my one is, I bought a new dog coat pattern :o but in my defence it will mean I'll use more of my stash of fleece to make Ellie even more coats, this pattern has legs which is why I wanted it, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :rotfl:

LOL LOL I love all these confessions.

I sold 60 of my stamps on line, I have just short of 200, and boy am I bad at stamping. I just cant get it right, bit like sewing a button on , once took me 5 goes.

So its lovely I can add 60 to my total as I`m sure they count, I have 45 more listed. (Run out of free listings for this month)

Ziggy - sorry about the heart attack, I've had 2 one at 20 , one at 45 and a heart op two years ago, so although things seem iffy at the moment. You will get better soon I`m sure. I took up crafting so something positive came out and become a ski er (spending kids inheritance)

kinski - I love the monkey, I made a zebra with a pair of socks, quickly got snapper up by the smallies, there are quiet a few animals you can make with socks

tattycathy - if your OH paid for it why not. my OH goes to boot sales and got me some fab stuff last year, it wouldn't be nice to refuse

On a positive note made 10 cards this weekend gone so have to blog those up, I use the blog for me to see the cards I have made before

    blogged 4
