Ooooo my extra large pom pom maker has just arrived, it's hooooge, told my oh I might need to buy more wool, I won't tell you what his answer was:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. The good thing with it is that there's a gauge on it which lets you make different sized pom poms. What with that arriving and me also getting ppi back from my bank a year after they told me I wasn't getting it it's been a good couple of days for me :T:T.
Ps I got just over 2 grand back.0 -

I don't know if anyone else has seen the scan'n'cut on a certain craft channel this afternoon but oooooh I want oneThe possibilities are endless
Sadly it's £400
So not only am I not buying any more stash until I've used up what I've got but any money I make from selling completed items is now going in the 'Brother' pot.:)
Easter bunnies nearly completed, photo soon
xx
If you go on the Create and craft Facebook page and share the post about the machine, there's a chance to win one. (ends midnight tonight.)0 -
Thanks for the tip Batty Bird, have entered a competition on the facebook page... You never know... haha
I have completed two pockets for the advent calender - and although they were simple ones, it feels good to have made a proper start, rather than just be thinking bout it... I have used things from my stash, and I wil be able to do this for a while, but I don't know how far I will get with that for this project as not much of my stash is Christmas themed... I have a few bits that will do, but I will have to think outside he box for a lot of the ideas...
1 Christmas tree charm
2 teddy cross stitch
3 applique snowflake (I could maybe do a pocket with two on as well?)
4 Christmas tree button, on green leather
5 Christmas tree hole punched with green felt behind leather
6 hole punched snowflake with silver leather behind
7 star hole with yellow felt
8 maybe a green organza bow
9 a burgandy ribbon bow?
10 - I have a snowflake charm somewhere - so maybe this????
hmmmm, I am already struggling, and not even half way there... this could turn out to be fun... haha.
I haven't managed to make my pincushion yet, but will hopefully start it tomorrow. I'm torn between just knocking out a square one, and actually taking the time to make a bird shaped cushion, as I got a pattern in a craft magazine (subscription was for Christmas - and the pattern isn't really for a pin cushion, but I can adapt it)...
I suppose I could do two, as I have two sewing machines - hmmmm.
I have another cardigan to be fixed, but it's currently wet, but I will get it sorted as soon as it's dry. (I'm feeling very motivated, and I'm surprised by how much I'm actually getting done - says me, when others have completed literally 100's of projects - haha)...
I hope you all stay productive, and that I manage to pop back some time this week... (I'm off to do some knitting, which will hopefully put me over the half way point int he scarf)...

Well, I managed to get some stash busting done yesterday - not that it has made any noticeable dent in it. I made another 6 flags for the bunting, have got 10 done now so only another 11 to go. I also started sticking buttons on a wooden heart shape, this I will keep for myself I think. So although it will stay in the house, the different components won't be taking up space in my craft stuff.
I'm going to have another run at it on Wednesday, when hubby is out and I've got the day to myself again.

Well, I worked on the button covered wooden heart while watching TV tonight, and finished it. So 1 more to add to the list.

Hi, I'm a knitter and I am up for stash-busting, but I sometimes have to buy balls of yarn if I run out of one colour that I need. Apart from that, I can make a commitment to use up my stash by only making things out of my yarn collection, unless someone asks for one of my stock items which use a different colour.
I'm not sure how many things I can promise to make because I might make a garment or lots of little things. Is that OK?0 -
Hi everyone,
nimbo - love your creationsThink you should make both pin cushions just so that I admire two pictures instead of one (that and a pin in the foot does not sound like fun
Regarding the advent calendar - how about using felt, leather or other material to create bauble shapes? If you use different shaped or patterned ones this will probably cover a few more pockets?
kinski - an extra large pom pom maker - swoon - I want one of them now too& well done on getting your ppi claim back
battybird - thanks for comp tip off - I'm keeping my fingers crossed
loopychris - it just so happens that I have a wooden heart in my collection and have a massive stash of buttons so I may well be following your lead very soon - thank you for the inspiration
craftyc - well done - keep going - you can do it
emslovesmickey - you go girl - can't wait to see the finished cross stitch design
I have alittle confession to make. I popped into our local discount type shop this morning and bought some cork backed coasters at 49p for a packet of 4. However there were 8 packs on the shelves so I bought all of themIn my defence I already have a plan as to how to use them and they were amongst my top sellers around Christmas last year so I have the potential to earn approx. £90 profit from them once I have decorated them up
Please may I be forgiven?

Hello owlfan and welcome. I LOVE owls so am very jealous of your user name (why didn't I think of that
You are welcome to use this challenge however you wish. As long as it inspires you and makes you thinks twice before buying more stash then that's fine by me.
