    Hi all,

I'm back and suitably refreshed and ready to go again after my holiday. I had a lovely time but am now starting to get back into the daily routine again! I've just read through the posts which were posted whilst I was away. Well done to all of you for being such busy bees.

I have totally forgiven any minor discretions which happened during my absence :)

I have today had a stall at a local craft fair (the first one I have done for ages) and walked away with a £55 profit which has made me fall in love with crafting all over again (and given me a bit of space in my stock to make some new bits) so I best get making again pretty quickly.

Keep up the good stash busting :)

I have been busy crocheting again and I now only have four rows left on my shawl :j It will be so good to have it finished and it has used up oodles of yarn :D

    Hi :hello:
Am I too late to join you? I have a small stash that I keep adding to, which must stop as I need to be saving seriously towards my pension :(
But have lots of UFOs and I need to crack on with them!
I'll try to list them later tonight.
Loving seeing what other people have been making :)
    Thanks
    Rosy

Its never to late to join in rosyq so a massive hello and welcome to you :)

Being a member of this thread seems to be a great motivator to finish up all those started but neglected projects you have and also to make you think before buying new stash so hopefully it will help, encourage and motivate you to :)

Please keep us posted with all your makes and ideas :)

  • Well I seem to have given up a little to be honest. I'm still making stuff and using up my stash but I keep adding to it. Do I get forgiven if I've only been crafting for a little while so haven't got a sizeable stash as of yet? (crosses fingers in hope)

I'm removing my targets as they seem to stress me out more than anything, but if it's ok I will continue posting?

Big finishes this week - I have finally finished the photo stitch. Took five months in the end. Now I can get started on the others.

I also did this for halloween. It's an old cutlery drawer (details on my blog)

    OK.
    Projects to finish include
Quilt mum's quilt and return it to her for binding
Make quilt top with purple/blue/green jellyroll and turn into something
Embroider amazing rainbow dyed fabric on machine and turn into a wall hanging

    Projects to start include
Use lovely blue African batik fabrics in a hanging (?)
Try out sashiko quilting 'cos it looks fun
Do fibonacci cushion that I got at the NEC festival of quilts
Rearrange spare room to make room for dining table to make quilting easier - basically this means moving everything else out as it's tiny but I measured the table and it'll just fit :rotfl:
Use lovely panel with butterflies and flowers, also got at the NEC on a whim 'cos it was sooo lovely and in the sale :o
Make fabric picture of mountains for OH like I promised at least 5 years ago :o
Make some more handbags, using fittings from the stash instead of buying more. These could be Xmas pressies if I get a wriggle on.
Use lovely fabric with owls on to make one of these bags, Maybe Xmas pressy for DD.
Refrain from going to the Ally Pally knitting and stitching show :o

That's not much then is it :rotfl: and that's just using the fabric I have vague plans for, there are boxs full of fat quarters bought because they might be useful :o
I haven't got a flickr account, is there another way of posting pictures?

    Thanks
    Rx

Oh ems - don't be disheartened. You have achieved so much already and all your makes are amazing and inspire me so much. I cant believe you have finished the photo cross stitch already - I know that it will be so greatly treasured and you should be massively proud of yourself just for achieving this in such a short space of time (i'm proud of you :)

Of course you can continue without any targets - this thread (and crafting) is supposed to be fun and I know that I certainly fall out of love with it sometimes. Whatever sizestash you have - you would be forgiven by me - afterall I haven't made a dent in my stash for ages so certainly cannot judge others :)

PS: Love the halloween cutlery tray - you are so inspiring to me and the other crafters on this thread so I certainly can't wait to see your next project when you decide :)

I can't wait to see pics of all of these:) I LOVE OWLS so am especially excited to see this finished bag :)

With regard to pictures I don't have a flicker account either. I post pictures on my blog (or occassionaly use facebook) and then post links on this thread. :)

  • OK I can declare another item made towards my target figure but I admit now that it is a bit of a cop out :)

My daughter needed her French book covered for high school so we used a piece of wallpaper sample I have had in my room for ages with a view to making something out of but never got round to it so I've now used it to cover the book and in doing so got rid of a tiny bit more of stash out of my craft room :)

I promise I will make a real effort to actually make something over the next few days as my hubby has just informed me he has got to go away again for a week starting from tomorrow :)

Keep crafting and stash busting everyone - you are all doing great :)

Just dropping by to declare another make, so one more added to the total.

a jewellery dish for a little girl

I have also lined a wooden box for my son that my mum gave him for some of his memories/treasures and covered two school books. Hoping to really crack on tomorrow with some more crafting.

Keep up the great work everyone :T

Thanks craftingmad:) Thankfully my crafty mojo is on the increase again (currently doing something with a vodka bottle - crafting not drinking!) and I hope to finish that this week
