DD's gifts are wrapped and hidden under a blanket for the morning. I asked her what she wants for breakfast tomorrow and she said pancakes! Early morning it is then for me as she leaves here at 7:40 to meet her friends at the bottom of the hill. I'll make the batter later so it can gloop overnight. Would make it now whilst she's at sea cadets but I don't know if she wants English ones or Scottish ones (I'm hoping for Scottish ones, I can fit more in the pan at once and they're nicer :o!).
DH has done another part of the stairwell. Painting to do tomorrow now.

WRT DD's party, any ideas of games? Here's what I have planned so far...
tying two kids together at the wrists so they have to untangle themselves Passing the balloon from knee to knee (oranges under the chin for another later game 1 dice, if you roll a 6 you get to go the plate, put on hat, scarf and gloves, then pick up knife and fork. You can then eat chocolate until the next person rolls a 6 Empty cereal box, everyone has to bend down and pick it up with their teeth, keep ripping bits off until nobody can do it Sleepy lions:D Pass the parcel Musical statues

There will be 6 children from 3-12 in age and varying heights so I'm wondering about some sort of tower building thing. I have loads of bendy straws, sticky tape, paper etc. no loo roll inners as I've slung them :(.

Lamewolf, banana crumble eh? Tell me more. I lurve bananas but really don't know about crumble! :o. I just can't picture it. Banana custard has to be one of my favourite puddings ever! Especially if the custard is so thick it develops a skin :D. DH hates nanas AND custard, strange chap :rotfl:.

Kaz I used to love the chocolate, hat and gloves game. What about a tray of assorted items to remember, cover and take one away, they work out which one.

  • Kaz, I remember a game from my mispent youth......one square of chocolate placed at the bottom of a mixing bowl, topped with compressed flour. Upturned on tray, each child takes turns moving a slice of compressed flour away with a dinner knife leaving a teetering piece of chocolate on an unstable column of compressed flour.

The child who makes the column fall, has to pick up and eat the piece of chocolate with their teeth (invariably with teenagers involved this means poor unsuspecting teen gets head ducked in flour....so supreme supervision required, and probably not very flylady!)

Morning all. Hugs where needed. I'm back in, better late than never.

House is in disarray as DD's new floor is being fitted today, but the decorating is done and I also touched up some of the paintwork in the hall.

Just about to see what I can do from the lists before the floor fitter arrives.

    Have a great day everyone.
