Thanks everyone for the nice comments and well wishes. Yesterday I definitely overdid it, no surprise really, I even baked muffins last night and all sorts - what a fool! I absolutely will not be dying my hair today, or probably even this week, thanks for the advice x

Today I am on the sofa with my laptop and a duvet while my husband does jobs. He has actually been great. So far WM on, washing up done, another load soaking, made us breakfast (he is on nights at the moment so we will stay on that pattern while he is on days off ready for return to work), Breadmaker on, clean washing folded and washing put on horse (well, by the time I finish writing this). Overall he has been great, even made up the bed and I know he wants to moan, as he NEVER has to do housework ( I am a stay at home wife haha) but still, he will be cooking a roast later if I am up for eating one :)

Measles does suck, the problem is the first few days weren't too bad so I was like ahh this is fine what is the problem? Now my body aches, rash is worse, generally just feeling more crap, still, I'm grateful for my life.

Hugs to Bossy (sorry I don't know why but I can assume it is a sad anniversary so thinking of you x) and gentle hugs to Royal Paws still. Congratulations lady on the birth of your little one x

Stay well everyone and thanks for being so kind and supportive. Really enjoying this thread now I am reading through all the posts and it has definitely helped me stay motivated when I've not been feeling crud.

A little late in the day but I'm in this week - most things are being delegated to other family members as busy with work and dad who's poorly. It's lovely coming home to a tidier house though and I'm pottering around when I am at home. Thanks for the lists - they're easy to copy out and leave for other people to do :D xx

Ladyluck congratulations on the arrival of your DD

Just back from town, have a selection of different things to try to temp royal paws and some vitamins too, some for her and some for me!

Picked up a bargain present for DS2 for Christmas and ordered something for DS3 this morning too.

I cleaned the bathroom earlier and feel better for doing something. I have cried enough. I've found a really helpful website with loads of tips for mogs with CKD so I'm going to learn all I can and give RP the best possible chance for a little longer. Thanks again for all your love, RP can feel it as she is back to purring again.

Scottish Temporary Lodger (hereinafter STL) wants to order a D0m!n0e$ pizza for himself for tonight as a special treat. Apparenlty they're bogof, so he's offered us the other one and will wait to order them and get them delivered until OH has returned from his work-related thing this evening. We've also just heard from an absolutely delightful musician lodger from about 10 years ago, who OH and I happened to share a really amazing memory about (in a good way) last week, who has just phoned to say can she come back for three nights next week. Yeeesssss.

Bossy I know you're AWOL this week, but you are very much in my thoughts today, and OH's - I told him about you when we lit a candle as requested some months ago. He sends his love and a hug, as do I.

Dusty, I'm glad you're getting on with things and you sound as though you are coping. More (((hugs))) for you, DS3 and RPs.

I've made 23 jars of crabapple jelly and the house smells of it. 5kgs down, about 13 more to go. Jars are popping on the dining room table as I type. Excellent. (I'm having to watch a lot of daytime TV while I prep the crabblies. Daytime TV is very, very dull but I have managed to catch a couple of Nigella episodes, a couple of Barefoot Contessa episodes and a previously unseeen episode of Cagney and Lacey.)
    Better is good enough.

    Hi all

Just popping by to say hi and thanks for all the heart warming messages. As ever the build up to these days is more unpleasant than the day itself, so today has been OK really. DD was in a bit of a state this morning, I don't think she knew why but probably picking up on anxieties from me and inlaws. But she was fine after a while.

We are all tired and both littlies are zonked out already. I managed to squeeze in some retail therapy and a nap today :T much needed as DS was coughing last night and managed to make himself sick, so was remaking beds at 3am. Perfect timing ;)

So thank you all again, and I'll see you next week.

Washing sorted, think I've finally got to the bottom of my washing basket. Kitchen pretty much clean, despite making (well, instructing my husband how to make) gammon, homemade chips, veg and then a salted caramel sauce to go over my white chocolate chip muffins I made yesterday.

My shoulder is playing up a LOT today, which they keep telling me is linked to my thyroid condition (weird!) but thanks to my lovely husband I've been able to rest and just do online things which is fab. Hope everyone has had a productive day and hugs to those in need x Pleased to hear your newsHoney Bear, also Lame Wolf do you have a banana crumble recipe by any chance? Hope that is ok to ask here :)

  • Monday - Rooms of Doom (that'll be Dining Rooms then :rotfl:) and downstairs loos
Spend the entire HH tidying up, putting away, finding homes for whatever is making this room a mess - make sure you find the table
Hoover any floor you can now see
If a surface is clear, wipe it and try this week to keep it clear
Clean a window or a mirror
    Extras
Mid month check of bank accounts

    Tuesday - kitchen and hallway
    Clean a window
Clean washing machine and DW filters and drawers
Clean the kitchen sink, taps, plugs

Wednesday - Bathroom and downstairs loo/ensuites
Check medical supplies, get rid of out of date stuff and replenish stocks
    Clean baths, sinks and toilets
Wash tiles and splash backs, make them sparkle
    Wash shower curtains/bath mats

I doubt I'll catch up with the above but I'm not fussed, I did manage to paint the second coat of primer on DD bedroom cupboard door and paint the first coat of paint on the ceiling (it should only need 2 coats)
