:cool:GRRR KIDS!!!!
DD1 has stomped off to work placement with right @rse. While the girls were getting sorted this morning we spoke about what time we needed to leave this evening to watch my nephew in the show he's doing at uni (The lion, the witch and the wardrobe. He's playing Mr. Beaver). The uni is in a different town (city), we've never been to this area of the uni so not really sure where it is and about parking etc. We also spoke about how we'd obviously have to eat earlier as we won't get back til about 11.
After establishing what we are doing DD1 then says she's going to message the woman who does our waxing to see if she can get an appointment for 4pm today! How the hell am I expected to fit that in? Cos my newly turned 18 year old daughter only wants me to take her AND stay with her to bring her back!
I explain again none to quietly what I have to do today and tell her to take herself and that I have limited petrol and no money, so now she's gone off in a strop
This morning I have to take my mum back to collect her glasses after yesterday's mix up where she got the dates muddled up. I so need to get her to check my knitting againseems the first sleeve I knitted might be a bit wider than the sleeve I'm on now
Kaz you asked how the colourwork is going, well I've finished that part. You can definitely tell my mum didn't make it but I'm pleased for a first attempt but I can easily say I'm NEVER making this jumper again. I am far from enjoying it and the mention of the jumper causes me to use a lot of !!!!!!! and :mad::mad::mad: My mum says every time I see her I tell her I'm never making it again, it's become a bit of a joke for her
I haven't done anything this morning except unload the airers and declutter 2 cups of coffee, now I seem to have a headache coming0 -
Working again today. I have some work that should have been done yesterday to do as well, but it was a struggle to get stuff sorted yesterday in time. Still ended up not finishing work until 9pm last night.
So today I will be sorting orders (got to bag them properly, label them with the amount owed and address), change bags and my newsletter for the books. Books can always wait until tomorrow so I'm tackling the orders/change first! Meanwhile I'll also be trying to get through whats left of the laundry. DD asked me at 10.30pm last night where her swimming towel was, answer: bottom of the dirty wash basketAt least its microfibre so was basically dry this morning after being put on the radiator overnight after washing.
Running to catch up with the HHC - going to do dailies then start work!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Just done 15 minutes tidying up - so first Thursday task done - sorry Mrs M-P missed your post about HHC at 9 or would have joined you.
To be honest I had forgotten how much I used to enjoy using my timer to motivate myself. I had finished all the tidying in the 2 main bedrooms and was about to put the kettle on for a coffee when it went off!! ( our small bedroom is a "where shall I put this/ cbs stuff" room and study is full of the outdoor cushions as we daren't leave them in the garage as it is damp). I intend to learn how to E*bay in the New Year - I promise!July 16 £95/£200
Nov 16 £0/£200

In my HHC I've put dishes away, washed up, put the WM on an extra spin, and made a jug of juice up.
I also replied to a text from ex-mil. DD is going away this weekend to family celebrations on ex's side. Ex-mil wanted to let me know its a 'poshish' place so DD can pack accordingly. DD like me lives in jeans, tshirt/hoody and trainers, has outgrown the smart stuff she wore last Christmas, and off the top of my head (apart from school pants) has nothing smart in her wardrobe  I'll set her too on looking for something in her wardrobe tonight when she gets in, If she can't find something appropriate I'll just have to take her to Mr A's after school tomorrow (working tonight). Wouldn't mind but we went to clothes shops on Monday looking at stuff for my nephew and could have sorted her out then if I knewCan't blame ex for not telling me, he's been pre-occupied last week with something and probably didn't remember to tell me or assumed I'd assume it was somewhere posh. Oh well, at least I get paid today so I have the money to pay for something if necessary. She can wear it at Christmas as well but maybe with new jeans to make it more casual
Best get on with the laundry juggling, then work. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I have still done nothing. I am keeping up with the dirty washing but that's about it, once OH is back from physio i will make a start upstairs. He has to fixed my sisters main PC first it has a virus, so it probs wont be till after lunch.0
-
niki, hope your DD can find at least a couple of bits that are suitable, mind i know its hassle shopping but you'd probs need to get her something for christmas parties etc if shes outgrown last years so it will get worn again, its just the rush and stress you dont need right now
not done to bad
sorted recycling and rubbish bags for tomorrow, did a load of shredding id being putting off. so thats all out
box of stuff from downstairs that should be upstairs is on the steps ready to go up later. put a few 1/2 bags of stuff into propwer storage containers so that looks tidier. all washing up that was dry put away worksurfaces cleared and tidied. the one near the boiler has been completely stripped (it needs the section near the timer taking out but ill ask DH to do that)
had a quick chat with avon lady, am hanging onto book a bit longer, i feel guilty as i hardly ever order but hadnt looked though this one, ill find something i can use as a gift in it im sure.
going to go and make an attempt to finish the kitchen before work.SPC~12 ot 124
