Adding to the love and (((HUGS))) for Bossymoo and the little moos.

Gentle pain-free vibes for Royal Paws.

Continued healing and resting-patiently vibes for Faceless Number's woofer.

GWS wishes for Katykicker - apologies, I hadn't taken on board that you have measles. What rotten luck! I know what you mean though; I have lupus, which means my immune system is basically screwed, and I catch something every time I go anywhere there are either several children or a bunch of ill folks.

Further GWS wishes for anyone else who is poorly at present.

No Flying today, I'm afraid. We attended the opera last night (Verdi's "Nabucco") in Northampton, and as is to be expected, today I am totally whacked. I also have a sore throat, so what's the betting that being in a crowd of other opera-goers, I've picked up something? *rolls eyes*

Anyways, I'm under orders from He Who Must Be Obeyed :D to rest; the only thing I'm allowed to do is make the pizza which is on the meal plan for tonight - and he's already grated the cheese and diced the onion to go on it.:A
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I've cleaned out the big cupboard. I've also had another look at THE BED. It's going to the tip. I can't even send it to the charity shop, it's in that bad condition and doesn't have all the bits available. She rang me yesterday evening and said she'd get her sister to check for the other bits but I have effectively wasted a day collecting it and money buying it plus diesel to get there and back. Flipping thing. Grr.
I re-read the description last night and she mentions a small dent (there are several) and a few scratches (hundreds of deep ones which have rusted). You could say that it matched the description but I would never list something in that poor condition. Le sigh.

Katykicker, hope you're soon feeling well again. It's rubbish catching something on holiday :(.
    Gentle squishes for poorly pets.
Skinty, did you get your heating sorted?
    Pigpen, how's the jumper?
Wendywitch, how's the colourwork going ?
WM and DW finished, just waiting on TD.
The sideways rain has stopped so I can go outside soon and retrieve the bits I need to get from the car. Then, the wrapping can commence!
I shall get on and wrap some Christmas gifts too so that they can go in the big cupboard.
My sister was showing me a quilt she's made and an ironing board cover. She shamed me into getting out my quilt bits and showing her. As I feared, the sashing block squares were mistaken for scraps and have gone into and out of the scrap box. I will need to cut more :(. I also need to work out the sashing as the squares aren't quite even :o. I think I shall delay this until after the bedroom is carpeted because then I can lay out the squares in order on the bed and work out how big I need the bits to be before sewing into strips and then joining the strips (HA! Made that sound easy didn't I?).
Right, quick check of ama7on. It's been rubbish this year though. Then back to it.
    HHC from 12:30 anyone?

4 boxes of stuff sorted into orders, orders sorted into "easy" and "difficult" depending on whether there's items out of stock/previously missing items arrived, then the easy ones sorted into roads. WM on load number 4 of 10ish (I've stripped the beds! I'm bathing and DD has broken out in an allergy rash but no idea what's caused it so all clothing & bedding is in the wash including pillows/quilt/cuddly toys), batch of dishes washed, and I've eaten lunch.

Now I'm going to go find some clean clothes, have a speedy bath & get on with writing my calling cards. I don't want to have a bath afterwards as I need to go out later and don't want to catch even more of a cold.:(
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Hi all
Hope you don't mind me jumping in here :o. I've tried to follow flylady a few times before but never seem to get very far with it. I've signed up to the emails again and as I lurk on here anyway from time to time thought I might follow your thread. I just noticed that the plan on here is different to the current stuff to do on the flylady website and just wondered why. Is there a different/UK version that you're all following?
  • hello Enira, our version is based on the flylady principles of little and often and each room/area get a trun each week but the lists are set up for us by Dusty and Natty who kindly take it in turns to keep us busy and organised.
