  • Dusty please dont beat yourself up over this or feel in anyway guilty, you werent to know. In all honesty it wouldnt have changed the outcome but would have given you longer to worry and be upset and not have given royalpaws the last couple of months of normality, she would have been prodded and poked and given medication she didnt like and you would have still felt awful. You love her and have both been there for each other, she is having the rest of her time in the secure knowledge that she is safe with her people who love her. Please try to enjoy the time you have left and dont feel guilty for being such a lovely kind person and companion to royalpaws

Im at a govs meeting tonight, ill be thinking of you while there

Dusty, sweetheart, I firmly believe we all of us, human, canine, feline or anything else, make our last Journey at the appointed time. I have good reason for this belief, which I won't go into here, but my point is that if it's her time, an extra couple of months of being poked and prodded and having the stress of several vet visits would not change that; and kidney troubles are so insidious, they sneak up, and you don't really appreciate that the furbaby is drinking lots more, because it's usually quite gradual. It's always hard to face when a furbaby leaves, but look, she's had a lovely life with you, and been loved to pieces, and continues to be loved. Hold onto that. I'm probably not expressing myself well, I don't have Pigpen's eloquence I'm afraid.

    Clean Washing put away.

Been at work all day and now wrapped up as its freezing here. Was that cold this morning Ozzy got under the quilt.

    My catch up day tomorrow.

Dusty Big hugs. Thinking of you all.
  • OK not a bad day in terms of flying. It will be downhill from here I'm afraid as I'm not at home tomorrow or Thursday really!

From the lists and my extras yesterday and today I have left to do:
    • Clean pedestals of downstairs toilet / sink
    • Mop downstairs floors
    • Clean WM drawer
Not bad! Have also been a super girlfriend and made OH a beef stew in the slow cooker.....I don't eat meat but have to get it for him at least a couple of times a week! Have made enough for about four portions so should keep him happy :j

Thanks LameWolf he is definitely walking better today than he was yesterday. If only someone could explain restricted exercise to him we'd be fine! He keeps picking his ball up and throwing it at me!! :rotfl:
  • dry washing fetched in,
    kitchen bin emptied and washed
    recycling out
all downstairs swept through and stairs dysoned
    washed up

going to give the sink a good scrub now.

dusty dont want to go on and certainly dont want to upset you more but you mentioned that you hoped RP would join you outside for some fresh air today, just keep an eye on her our pusscat knew when his time had come and he decided he wanted to go and sit out in the garden in the rain. I didnt know he was ill he was just a bit old, he sat outside looking throughly miserable and i can remember having a feeling and i went out and fetched him in i even said to him as i picked him up, if you are going to die its not going to be out here in the rain on your own,
i picked him up and took him in, he died just as i put him down in the hall, (shortly after biting me for spoiling his plan) it seemed he had some kind of fit and the vet said nothing could have changed the outcome. hed also heard of cats doing that.
im not saying this to upset you, i just dont want her to go off and be missing to add to your distress.

I only gave her £10 in the end as it was quite grimy :o. I believe I can get extra bits from ikea if needed as all the major parts are there. I now just need to remove all the stickers and resultant stickiness!
I haven't brought the car up yet as they were just opening our road when I got home. I can't wait for the road to be finished, it's taking forever! They appear to have finished the pavements but still need to dig up the entire road and relay it. Lord only knows how long that's going to take them!

Not sure if you have tried to remove the stickers yet but Kim of Kim and Aggie used to rub mayonnaise onto stickers, leave it for quite a while and then remove!! Perhaps best to see if there are clearer instuctions on the internet before trying it though - hope it works.

Mrs MP.. my mog did the same.. she was laid in the middle of the lawn in the rain.. I wrapped her in a tea towel and brought her in and dried her off then rang the vet for her sad one way trip. She would have laid there to the end too. :(

sticker removal.. WD40.. nothing on earth shifts them like this stuff.
