Don't buy a BMW, Audi, Merc, Volvo ...

I have a friend with an Audi and 500k on the clock. I don't see any cheap cars lasting that long.0

Moral vacuums?
I just bought a C63 last month, new, from Mercedes, and absolutely love it. There is no question in my mind that right now, this is absolutely the best car for me.
At other times, cheaper cars were the right choice, and at yet other times, I had far more expensive cars. The "right" car depends on what you want, and what you can afford, but you are a fool if you think that you can objectively state that my choice is "wrong".
Let me be the first to thank you for the financial contribution your increased fuel purchases, and higher VED band, are making to the countries economy. If it weren't for people like you, then there would be less to go into the benefits pot for the likes of DrDog
Joking aside - cool choice, I haven't driven one, but the noise they make is pure filth
Personally, I like my Audi that much, I'm thinking about buying another one.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

I had an RS4 from new until a year ago, and loved it. I thought about buying another of the same age (2007) instead of the new Mercedes, but couldn't bring myself to spend £20k+ on a car that was starting to seem a little dated.
I also fancied a new S4, but the engine on the C63 turned my head.0 -

I've only had iit a month, but am already thinking of having it re-mapped. The throttle does not oen past 80% on this engine n the C-class, so it's quite easy to liberate about 50bhp extra, to take it up North of 500bhp.0 -

I have no idea why on earth you'd ever want to do that, but hey - go for it! Change the exhausts, put a big spoiler on if you want - enjoy every second of it. Have as much fun as you can in it. You're a long time dead, make the most of when you're alive...
I've had oodles of fun in performance cars - M3, E-type, 911, Scoobydoo, EvoVIII, S-typeR, XJ-R, Bentley Arnage - happy days...
I cycle everywhere now, but I do miss the gas-guzzlers every now and again...0
