Hello
This may be an incredibly stupid question but how do you get the cash back and how frequently? I am looking at the Barclaycard 4% offer at the moment. Is the cash given by cheque or onto the balance of the card? I am looking to pay off the balance in full every month but do not want to end up with a credit balance on the card. Thanks.0 -
Hi have a barclaycard and the cashback comes off your bill every month.0

I phoned Morgan stanley to cancel the card and discovered that they had been taken over by goldfish a while back and now more recently by Barclays. I told the customer service guy that I wanted to cancel the account as it was no longer the best cashback card and he said would i hang on to it for a month or 2 until barclays contacted me to tell me what their cashback deal would be. I ummed and ahhed and he said he'd credit the card with £15 if i didn't cancel so i said sure thing! lo and behold the £15 pound was credited the very next day. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0

Hi
Just wandering how long it takes to for the egg money credit to be sent out.
I was accepted over a week ago and now sign of the card yet.
Anyone else accepted recently and had the card sent through?
I have just received my card yesterday. It took nearly 14 days to arrive. You will not get a pin thru the post, you need to log on and activate your card and your pin will be in your online account0 -
So I'll hang onto the card for a bit (spending only £15 on it) and see what Barclays say and if their offer is any good and if not will cancel it.
In the meantime I'm still using my Amex as my primary card and will use egg money as back-up.
Don't you just love it when people give you free money with no strings!!
I am wanting to know what their offer will be, will it be for MS card holders only? I am hanging to my MS for no other reason!0 -
Hi all,
am considering the Egg Money cashback card and wondered how often they award your cashback? Do you have to wait a whole year for it like Amex Plat? Sorry if this has already been covered. thanks.0 -
Yes - the cashback is accrued from your March statement until your February statement and is paid in March of each year.
"What is cash back?
Cash back is paid on purchases; it is at least 1% and is paid to your Egg Money account. Cash back is paid annually during March, as long as your total cash back total earned over the year is more than £5. You'll earn cash back up to a maximum amount of £200 in each 12 month statement period commencing with the March statement each year up to and including the February statement the following year."
"hat is instant cash back?
Instant cash back will apply to purchases made with selected retailers and will be paid to your Egg Money account on the same day your purchase is shown on your account, or soon after. Instant cash back is in addition to cash back described in the previous question. We've got some great offers right now and you can expect more deals very soon, so keep checking back to see what's new. To benefit from the retailers' cash back offers, please go to the Egg Rewards pages of our website and use the links we've provided."

Egg Money cashback is awarded annually in March, so depending on when you apply you don't have to wait a full year.0

Thanks for that. Just to be sure (call me sceptical!) if I got a card now, I wouldn't have to wait until next March before I even started earning cashback, would I? Just thought they could maybe get away with doing that from their wording.0 -
No, you wouldn't (assuming the T&Cs have not changed from when I signed up last year) - I applied for and got my Egg Money card in Oct 07, and cashback was applied to my account in March 08.0
