Wow so just because YOU don't live in Berwick and can't benefit from this anomaly you want to make sure no-one else does ? Nice !!

Odds of you succeeding rate somewhere along the lines of a snowball's chance in a furnace :)

I'd be more embarassed to be seen buying groceries with a creditcard than I would be having it refused at Aldi mind you. I've always felt only the fec kless use creditcards for groceries.

Actually some people use it to get cashback, points or whatever, they pay it in full at the end of the month and get something for nothing... You might think I'm !!!!less, but I think some people are quick to judge, but they should get their facts right first :rotfl:
PS why on earth MSE censors the word f.e.c.k is beyond me...

so how can they send you gift vouchers when they

    DON'T DO THEM

The Area Manger used the term Gift Voucher.
It could be correct that Aldi do not offer them for sale to customers but it does not mean that Aldi cannot issue a Gift Voucher from HQ.

I do not think an Aldi Area Manager would tell me they were sending me something and not send it, do you ?.

So hiow would you redeem a voucher as if they dont do them, then their till system will not be set up for gift vouchers. A Area Manager can say anything. If the AM told you it was a good thing to visit Berwick Upon Tweed and jump naked in the Tweed, would you do that because the AM told you it was good.
  • Just came a across this thread. ..wow a lot of people have got unhappy about this!

For my input, when I went to Aldi a few years ago, I had dreadful customer service (too much to rant about on here!). Anyway, in summary I was issued with a £25 gift voucher from HQ (which took some chasing mind after it was offered, but it did arrive). Problem was I had to spend it in the store I had all the problems with! I made sure I brought my other half shopping when I went to use it as the checkout person didn't have a clue but once the supervisor came over, they knew exactly what to do and took the voucher no problems.

Not sure why there is someone on here shouting that they don't do these.....they do! They just don't sell them and reserve them to be sent from head office.

I hope they sort this issue out about credit cards. Stupid company not for taking them. Its all I carry now a days!!

Aldis Facebook page doesn't know they accept Credit Cards in Scotland, parts of South Wales decided by the Swindon Wiltshire England regional Office, and Berwick Upon Tweed In England.
