For my input, when I went to Aldi a few years ago, I had dreadful customer service (too much to rant about on here!). Anyway, in summary I was issued with a £25 gift voucher from HQ (which took some chasing mind after it was offered, but it did arrive). Problem was I had to spend it in the store I had all the problems with! I made sure I brought my other half shopping when I went to use it as the checkout person didn't have a clue but once the supervisor came over, they knew exactly what to do and took the voucher no problems.
Not sure why there is someone on here shouting that they don't do these.....they do! They just don't sell them and reserve them to be sent from head office.
I hope they sort this issue out about credit cards. Stupid company not for taking them. Its all I carry now a days!!
Thank you for this valuable input.
If you still shop at Aldi will you observe any Health and Safety issues especially notice staff using stock transportation equipment.
If you notice anything that concerns you please bring it to the immediate attention of the store manager.0 -
Aldis Facebook page doesn't know they accept Credit Cards in Scotland, parts of South Wales decided by the Swindon Wiltshire England regional Office, and Berwick Upon Tweed In England.
Aldi's facebook is not run by Aldi, but a mere PR company.
Hence any complaints will normally result in a response saying to contact Aldi customer service0 -

I've heard of the tooth fairy but somehow your thread seemed to have amazingly attaracted the thanks post fairy which seems to have been halted in it's efforts now!0 -

earthstorm wrote: »when did supermarkets charge you for entering them and using their services?
You have not paid for any of their services as you have not been though any checkout to pay for your SHOPPING, as far as i am aware their is NO service charge added to any supermarket receipt. if you can scan one and show on here where the service charge is added, so we can all see.
i prefer the self service checkouts especially if i only go in for a few things in a basket. why should i have to wait 10 minutes or more in a queue while the person infront empties their trolley full of groceries on the belt.
I think you will find when you actually purchase something, the costs of any goods would include an element of staffing costs otherwise the store would quickly go out of business.
Personally I don't mind using them except in our Tesco there is no specific queuing area so it all gets a bit messy.0
