Aldi have an only list for debit card which does not include VISA or Mastercard Debit cards.

Aldi do accept credit cards in Scotland , parts of South Wales, and Berwick Upon Tweed.in England

Well done, you win the prize for replying with garbage before actually reading the post you are replying to.

You do like most people do, you carry cash. Once you get to the till you try your card, if its accepted you know for next time, if its not, you can pay with cash. You know for sure that if its a credit card, chances are it'll be rejected.

    Simples.

Posting #533 on page 27 shows a picture of the cards Aldi accept

These cards form the only list on the Aldi website

If the picture on your card is not on the in store signs, and the name on the picture on your card is not on the the in store sign, and if the picture on your card or the name on the picture on your card is not on the only list. on the Aldi website how do you know that they will be accepted please ?

do you think the card machine goes off a picture.
    Visa Delta IS VISA DEBIT
Maestro IS MASTERCARD DEBIT CARD, so the machine will read VISA DEBIT AND MASTERCARD DEBIT cards as its the same coding just the brand name/logo has changed.

Aldi place signs in their stores with pictures to show only the cards they accept.
Aldi have a list on their website that names the actual cards they only accept.
How are we supposed to know what the associated or replacement signs and new names of these cards pictured are ?

I'm sure Aldi will leap into action to update these pictures and website and while they are leaping where is my £30 gift voucher ?

well you have amazing things called Banks, if you had a Visa Delta card , this would have been replaced with a Visa Debit card with an explanation of the name change, the same with Maestro cards.

i would say a majority of people, know the name changes, so would have no problem.

and once again ALDI DON'T do gift vouchers. i linked to their face book page earlier that stated this, so how can they send you a £30 gift voucher when they DON'T do gift vouchers.

Since i created my nick way back when i can't think i have contributed to any thread at all. usually when i access the site i just look for information.

I suppose if another person wants to create a nick name like mine and use it as they wish is that against the forum rules ? It has crossed my mind that any person who wanted to thank themselves would use a totally different name.

Is accusing a member of doing something they haven't done against the forum rules. I have just had a new ticket reply number 34XXX from the forum report system at about 23:00. Then another a little later 54XXXX.

I am still finding my way around the forum.

My main reason on the original post was to comment on the Aldi geographical bias of banning Credit Cards except for in Scotland , parts of South Wales, and Berwick Upon Tweed.in England.

Furthermore I have discovered the lack of clarity in what cards are accepted by Aldi.

Today i have discovered a groundswell of disapproval about Aldi on a another subject regarding car parks in another forum on this site. I have contributed to that forum to. I had to report some one for blatant insults to me and have a new ticket 49XXXX from about 21:13.

I cannot wait to see what tomorrow will bring ...
