Think of it , if they Aldi Guy is reading this thread ( if he is can he please reply) and reading some of your drivel about his company, do you think he will sanction the £30 Voucher.

    Yes
and consider this when they see how their geographical bias on accepting Credit cards and their unclear policy on accepting Debit Cards they he will be very pleased that i have pointed this out to them.

God you really are such a smart-ar*e aren't you?

I'd hate to live with you.

I think you are a little obsessed with Berwick too, considering how many times you've said the town in this thread. Perhaps you should move there?

    (Waits for smart-ar*ed answer back)

I am not sure whether you are male female or a hairdresser?
which ever of the three i am not interested you will be pleased to know.

I have no intention to move to Berwick Upon Tweed.in England Scotland or parts of South Wales where Aldi accept Credit Cards,

Berwick Upon Tweed is still one of the few places in the UK that is still undefined in where it belongs
    Not this again!

Oh well, proof doesn't come much more conclusive than that!

As do many places all around the world, thanks to the Scottish diaspora (ever been to Corby or listened to "Letter from America"?). Doesn't make them part of Scotland though....

So was the quoted poster suggesting that if a person born in Scotland lives in Berwick do they think that Bewrick Upon tweed is part of Scotland ?

If they have their Credit Card accepted in the Aldi Store there, then they may think its part of Scotland.
If a Latvian, Pakistani or Chinese lives In Berwick does that mean that they think Berwick is part of Latvia Pakistan or China
  • I think we should all get together and march on Aldi's UK HQ - a bit like in those 1960's Hammer Horror films where the villagers all march on the castle with burning torches to get the evil Count...:D

Seriously, if Aldi choose not to accept Credit Cards in England (bar one shop in Berwick upon Tweed or wherever), it's their business so how they choose to accept payments is their choice. Remember, other methods of payment are available.

This is not Aldi being evil, it's not personal, they are not going to eat your children or convert your husband / wife / partner / cat to The Moonies so just get over it. Full Stop . End of.

Went to Aldi this morning to do my weekly shop. £58 total. I used my Visa debit card to pay. I love Aldi. They have lots of lovely Christmas things in at the moment too.

The lights went out whilst i was there, every single person in the shop stopped to observe the 2 minutes silence.

OP, it doesn't matter how many posts you make slagging Aldi off, it won't stop people shopping there. In fact, it might make a few more decide to try them !

It is incorrect to state Berwick on Tweed, being to the north of the River Tweed, is in Scotland. Actually the boundary for a substantial part of its line is indeed the international divide (on OS maps - dash/cross/dash/cross) between the two countries. As it gets to about 5 or 6 miles (I forget the real distance) it turns 90 degrees northwards initially going up the centre of a farm track! It proceeds in a loop around Berwick to the North Sea.
    '.

It's where it SHOULD be that's debatable - nothing to do with lines on maps

    Talking about China ..
The Aldi website (LOL) says they don't accept VISA and Master card Credit Cards, apart from Scotland , parts of South Wales, and Berwick Upon Tweed.in England

I understand that the Chinese with their Buying power , not to mention their ability to make products for Aldi. have a different type of Credit Card that is not VISA or Mastercard

Do Aldi accept Chinese Credit Cards that are non VISA or Mastercard ?
