Thank you for pointing this out..
Error in the letter 3
“your comments have been forwarded to the appropriate office for action” ???
During my chat with Mr Batson he said that other than chat with a colleague and sending this letter to me he was not taking any further action
Would you consider his error number 3 was disingenuous saying one thing in a letter representing his employer and another on the telephone.
I think Aldi are "wringing their hands" when it comes to customer service LOL.
Today the telephone answering system changed again the none geograpohic line has disappeared and an number new to me 0845 3450015
A company I used to work for had a special department for complaints from nutters - it was small round and metalic and positioned under each desk - so I am sure he has sent your complaint somewhere appropriate.0 -

Had that argument with a store a few weeks back, today I got my revenge
A woman was in front of me in the queue and the total bill was £19.42. So this woman hauls her bag onto the conveyor, unzips it and starts rummaging inside for her purse, then finds it and opens it, then asks how much it was again, then says "I think I have that... There's £10, and £5, and £1 and £2 and £3 (counting out the change)" and then eventually says "I thought I had a 2p in here somewhere", followed by "I'll have to have that 40p back and change it for a 50p". Then the cashier then has to re-check it before finally giving the woman her 8p change, yet she still manages to hold up the queue whilst she puts the change in her purse, zips that, and then has to put the purse in the back and zip that, ...
So I said "Still quicker to accept cash than cards I see" and she just smiled at me.0 -
Speed very much depends on the merchant using LAN or dialup but I'd agree that even chip and pin is much quicker than cash 9 times out 10. Contactless is much much quicker than cash (A lot of magnetic stripe transactions with no signature in the US are probably still as quick though).0
