They used to have "minimum spend £5" on the "We take cards" posters throughout the store & on the tills, although in recent weeks I haven't seen it mentioned, so maybe the minimum spend has been abolished.

Agreed, I bought something in poundland for £1 on my Amex a couple of weeks ago as I had no cash on me. I believe they started to get rid of the £5 min once they started taking Amex (Rolling out the no minimum slowly).

To be honest if they do not up their game on payments and get rid of the scammers in the car park with the shop to the clock or pay us £100 scam , they will be joining Netto.

The car park for our local Aldi doesn't have any parking restrictions, you can park for as long as you like. The only other shops in walking distance are a chip shop and chinese takeaway, maybe that's why.

Same goes for Asda, shares a car park with Homebase and that's basically it.

In 4 days its reached 320 (with this post) posts so yes I recon it will reach the 500 in a few days.
  • Netto wanted out the UK and sold out to ASDA because they were sh*t and weren't even in the same league as Aldi/Lidl.

Kwiksave folded because Somerfield sold Kwiksave to a consortium who didn't have a clue or the financial backing to make it work.
