  • Maybe something similar to Costco / American Express setup would benefit Aldi, the credit card company and the consumers too.

Costco don't accept credit cards in their stores in England, except for American Express which they issue with their branding on.

I do not know what happens in Costco stores in Scotland and Wales.

I do not know if there is a Costco store in Berwick upon Tweed in England.

What about parts of South Wales too?
  • Surely, however, there's a big difference on the embarrassment scale between the till operator saying "I'm sorry, we don't accept credit cards" and "I'm sorry, your card is declined".

    Just a thought.

I think the appropriate term, OP, is "you are making a mountain out of a molehill".

Do you think you may have eaten horse meat in Aldi products.

Well since no one even the Food Standards Agency have been able top find out how long horse meat has been in the food chain, i could really say, we have all most likely eaten horse meat in burgers.

    Thank you for your reply

    Are Aldi saying this ?

I expect that when if a letter from the Aldi customer services manager with my £30 gift vouchers arrive this Credit Card trial will be mentioned.

Yes customer perception if ignored can be costly to a Super market who appear arrogant especially if they have a policy like Aldi with a geographical bias of banning Credit Cards except for in Scotland , parts of South Wales, and Berwick Upon Tweed.in England.

Aldi need to pay attention to molehills other wise they will become mountains.

No, YOU are making a mountain out of a molehill.

Easy answer? Shop somewhere else. It's is Aldi's right to not accept CCs in England if they so wish.
