Well done you, that must have been *such* a hard thing to do, but you did the right thing :) Even if not now, one day she'll understand that you have to budget for things and can't just have everything you want! (I'm sure she understands that really, deep down, even if she doesn't like it right now). Glad her dad is taking that on too xxx

Cheery of all my news today the 'can we please keep you' news is awesome and means a wee few guaranteed hours each month and as we work in a new but old networked partner uni, of lots of independant colleges, the most southern college is under an hours drive from rg's flat. :-) and whilst I can work from home for paperwork I can vc in when I can't get back oop north. :D

Thanks guys without you all I'd have to even thought of asking.

Freezer raided, lunches sorted too :-)

    Happy days.

  • OK so the rent is ready to rumble at the end of the week.

The banks are squeakier than a mouse's moustache but we've been focussing on debts and I'm writing an invoice to give in on Friday so I *might* collect my work cheque at the same time.

    Today's cunning plan

    Write up expenses
Do a shed load of paperwork
Phone up about car (its doing something pesky in reverse.......IE not going in
Write invoice and email it later in the week, print a copy to take with me to the meeting
Review job description and write out split of hours
Walk muttlets a few times, once locally and then when in toon
Take some stuff to the skip as it was closed yesterday
Tea's in fridge - leave note for DD when she's home to put in oven
    Work hard :D
Sort out old mobile phones sitting around the place as there are at least 2 or 3 which can be sent off for recycling.

Not sure what else the day will bring mainly paperwork. So I may be wittering endlessly all day :)

    :) Have a good un!

Pippi, that is amazing, your accomplishments yesterday - "yes please, we'd like to keep you" - thats just :j:j:j

I bet the driving lessons thing was hard for you, absolutely - but I agree with what Cheery said, I bet she understands right now, deep down, and it'll become clearer to her as she grows up. You're doing brill!
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Thanks KC! We had been talking about it but twas 'shaken' on yesterday.

Speaking to the childrens father to give him his 'sunday name' is never easy even after 15 years he's difficult - anyone would think I'd actually left him......instead of being booted oot.

    Anyhows - sun's a shining :)

Big bit of p/w done :)

Banana's on toast munched always reminds me of me grannie some how.

Rent moved over to right account and is cleared.

Doggles walked once anyway so far

Radio is chugging away - I've a shed load of printing to do so I can start that and have a cuppa

Might do the washing up and stick a load in.

    :)

Must think what to do about car. I can't keep trying to find ways of not reversing......

Right kettle on - who's with me.

  • Lobs (gently and with a lid) a mint tea at L

Nice to see you lass - must pop over the hedge in a bit......:D

Today - sunshine, beaches, work, radio and a nice cuppa with a chum.

Tired - amazing what a lovely plate of shepherds pie gently chugging away in the oven when you get home does for you - as its one we did earlier it feels like someone else cooked.

    :)

Busy long day tomorrow so indulged in an early shower and pjs are ON.

Sofa/telly and nowt much else planned - need to keep a weathered eye on banks - its quite squeaky.

    Reduced
    Fish
    Pastry (DD)
    stir fry tender veggies
and some mutt food on the way home

£4.52 spent - almost at the budget line but we SHOULD come in on the nose this month - makes a change eh?

Meal plan adjusted to cope with rampantly cheap crunchy veg :)

Left over s/pie in tub for lunch tomorrow

    :)
