  • Aw thanks Maty!

Enjoy the big smoke - :)

Good day today I've heard some lovely news about potential greenhouses, had a stomp on the beach with a chum, have found a fish box (giddy at that one) and teas chugging in the oven.

And, had a viewer for Darwin - potentially he may live on as a bit of recycled 'donor' parts to a dear friends camper.

We'll see. Be so lovely if he does.

Today's the anniversary of losing one of the most important women in my life. So I'm remembering and smiling and listening to my inner voice who sounds awfully like her.

Hugest of hugs to Wik - xxxxx

I did a 'selfie' of me and my fishbox treasure - you know, just cos if she'd been here, she'd have insisted of seeing it.

Great skype with DS today too - who actually asked me how I was, as he'd remembered too. He's a good un.

Had a chat and he's getting back to me. We'll see - I'm not hopeful for help but keeping an open mind. Its wrong time of year for big expenses (pre lambing - my ex is a livestock farmer )but you knew that right??:o) - so right now at the end of the winter and pre lambing is NOT good for asking for monetary assistance......)

:o fingers crossed. That's all we can do.

Oh cheery thank you but I don't feel excellent I feel all confuddled and mean cos of DD's driving lesson burden and trying to be supportive and trying to see how I can find THAT money and wanting to sneak away for a weekend among all the money busting.

I'm envious of you being able to find fish boxes :rotfl:

Hugs to you and Wik both, from me. From your posts after your loss, I can hear *something*, at least, of how wonderful she was.

Thanks mucker! She was very like the lady on the Castle tv programme the other night - which I can't remember the name off - with the lovely old couple.

    You're busy today too!

    Cauli cheese scoffed
One shepherds pie ready for tomorrow in fridge now
One family portion of mince ready to freeze
    One lunch portion mince/tatties

OK, so this is just between US - yeah...............

Shepherds pie and lunch mince tatties hmm, well like any good mse'r I've a stash of the instant mash stuff. And, lets just say some (or ahem all of it) may now be in a lunch and ON a shepherds pie.

A dollop of butter, seasoning and a slosh of milk, I'll be darn'd if they can tell the difference it worked pretty well. (Aside it being remarkably lump free)

So shhh, they never saw, so they'll never suspect will they.

We had a 'roastless' roast dinner last night :) I love them - gino yorkie and all the trimmings, tbh I don't miss the meat part - the yorkshire is my fave anyway.

Rest of weeks meals look like this

    Shepherds pie (shh)
Fritatta again :) or something egg based anyway
    Pasta with veggie/pesto sauce
Chicken curry with flat breads and rice
    Fajhitas with last of peppers
    Clapshot and bangers

That should do us shouldn't it.

College agreed today to a remote working package until late Dec :D

    woo hoo

Chair went to menders and may take six months but will be better when its home - waiting for final quote.

    :)

    Off to update spreadsheets.

ETA - well the verdict on the driving lessons came back as she'll have to reduce them to one a week - Dad will pay - he talked to her about reducing them - I'm going to find a 'learner' insurer which fits in with her timings here.

A hard convo as she'd upped the lessons to two a week but without discussing it first, it wasn't really sustainable given there is 10 weeks/20 lessons @30 quid each between now and test. Which when I added it up came to £600 - between now and mid May. Not really budgeted...................

So we had to have a chat and I got her dad to talk to her as he started the lessons off, she seems ok - had to call three times to get an answer but its paid off. I don't like being pushy but I can't just shell out that kind of money as much as I'd love to support her its not prudent to be unrealistic
