Evening Pippi,
Hope your day went well and you are now recovering.
Peculiar day here. Got off to a good start with two loads of washing drying in the sunshine and took little ones for a short bike ride. Then this afternoon the weather suddenly changed, we had a spell of violent stormy weather (luckily got the washing in in time!) and now this evening three of us have come down with something and are feeling really bleurgh. Hoping for an early night as I have work to do and we have friends coming tomorrow to go to the local am-dram panto in the afternoon, followed by dinner here (at least I have dessert prepared, tiramisu using up 3 egg-yolks I had in the freezer).
Will see what tomorrow brings.
Well done on submitting the applications, and hope today's event was a success!0 -
Yep, hope it all went well. Trog, sorry to hear you feel rough - hopefully a good night will start to sort you. Sleep well2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi pippi, and the rest of you lovely lot :hello:
It's been ever such a long time since I've been around these parts but since I'm sneaking back in with my own diary, I thought I'd sneak in yours again too, if you'll have me of course
Well done on getting your job stuff in :j

Finally finished for the weekend but I've a lighter week next week.
Hoping to hear something about the jobs early in the week, fingers crossed if I don't then I don't plenty more fish in the sea.
Hugs all round and lots of soup and toast.
Have a great evening whatever youre all up to.

Hello everyone - good to see you again Cheery! And Mmmm to onion marmalade!
Yes definitely feeling better, thanks all. Not quite right but hopefully back to normal soon.
Very wet here again. Am considering saving some of the slices of tree trunk we received the other day as firewood, and using them as stepping stones instead to get across our very soggy grass to the front door!
Had an afternoon of entertainment all in a good cause, and then survived the onslaught of DD's friends without the house getting trashed so that's all good. I'm even up to date with work! Next thing to worry about is submitting my tax return - really MUST get on with that!0 -
Aye up chaps.
Just in from one job and doing a bit of admin for the other.
However, I've 3.5 hours left this month which are unallocated so I'm not really going to do very much for the rest of today.
Had some good and bad news re work things - nothing life threatening. Its all ying and yang isn't it.
Cheflet has departed what a super time we had catching up and working.
So nice to work alongside professionals and get so many tips.
Off to throw a log at the fire, myself at a much needed but short walk and then get my feet up on the sofa.
I've ferretted in the fridge/freezer so need to make a cunning meal plan.
I do hope you're all grand and happy today.
I'm making a list of what's precious at home (aside the biological ones) and its funny how little of the 'stuff' we have isn't either replaceable or unneeded.
also got a chum coming later in the week looking for a few bigger bits of furniture, hoping she'll take those when we do actually go and then there's really not much to think about, well aside the piano...................best not think about that yet.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
