    Aw thanks guys

I'm trying to write something 'deeply sensible'

Let's face facts despite my best intentions, deeply sensible doesn't come easy to me.

Greying I do like a silly list (distracts from writing deeply sensible things)

Daily star hello! I've read your diary since i got home from slippy whiste stuff and promised myself I can comment with gusto once the deeply sensible thing is done.

Tonight's my last window of sensibleness........

I'm having a wee break honest (3/4 way through my deeply sensible statement) trying to show a deep concern in sustainable food issues but in a way which will not put the poor reader to sleep. And not get too excited about growing vegetables which will make them think I'm' a total lunatic.

Plods back to pen and paper........

I can't imagine you being **too** deeply sensible, Pippi :) change that, actually, I *can* imagine it on sustainability issues.

Pippi for PM. Oh rats, it might be a separate country before long ... will have to have a rethink :)

    Night!

  • Hee hee you're a good un. :)

Well there's a shoddy draft of rambles about to be relooked at later and edited, as you can imagine keeping to one page is a problem for my word spoutage.

    Today up an attam

    Dr's early
Was supposed to be walking round a headland but its poodling down
Working this afternoon/evening have an event
    Will do the usuals
    Store meals
    Expensed petrol
    Work hard
May tidy up if the rain gets too boring
In town later don't need anything hoping for a NSD.

Have a good un - I'm sure as my awakened status progresses that I'll have more to say but it was a late one fighting with the agnst and comedy that is my life on paper.

    :)

Hugs and productive less soggy days than mine to you.

Did you get all your sensibleness done last night then? Too many words and edit down is good - and you've got plenty of "real life" examples of your commitment to sustainability, for sure!

Sorry to hear you've got the rain - I think the South of England finally blew hard enough to shift it back north for a bit - it was that or risk floating away...

    Hugs back...

The deeply sensible writing on all things food/sus dev/carbonish is now passed the nose of the first reviewer and on its way to the second for comment.

After that its bite lip, kiss the computer and press go.

I honestly can't do any more.

Seemingly (my lovely first reviewer said......) 'My enthusiasm, passion and motivation shines through, but I need to give examples of my utter brilliance.

THAT my dear chums, may take a bit of thinking about :D trumpets and I are not comfortable bedfellows. I'm more of an underthestairs, slight of hand, looks its all sorted, who me, no no no kinda gal :D

Second application just need to finish references and press go, spoke to them today as well - jobs f/t an hour+ commute and I'm not convinced I'm the right gal for that kind of experience but I'm applying anyway and will give it more thought.

I NEED room for chickens and walks in my life on a daily basis, so I'm willing to compromise in some ways to get that.

    :) bonne chance eh

Off out to a local 'bannock' making workshop in the toon back later.

I'm quite excited to learn some new skills :)

Enjoy your teas, I'll join you and have mine after :D

  • I can't believe how fast things are moving on here! I only just manage to catch up and then in no time I'm about 2 pages behind again! How do you find the time to write on here so much as well as all the other things on your long lists, Pippi?

Now there's so much to comment on that I just can't, but all the best with the job applications! And yes, make time for the little things that make you happy, life is too short to have it flash past before you've really appreciated it.

On the MSE front, just gained a van-load of free firewood from friendly local tree surgeon, yay! Also working our way through cupboards and freezer. I'm torn between trying to use things up so as to get to the bottom of the freezer (haven't seen it for at least 2 years) and my natural inclination to stretch things out and make them last, especially as we just worked out bills and found we spent £300 per month on food in November and December! Currently the eking things out aspect is winning!

There are many, many examples of your utter brilliance abounding in Pippiland, I know there are - you're really going to have to name them :) the chickens will never, ever write you a letter of recommendation! Nor will Peedie, naughty little dog :rotfl:

I've been investigating what money is set aside for pensions, in a very doom laden sort of way, and find its not nearly as doom laden as I thought - considering my current account, indeed, the pension situation may give rise to trumpets, one day soon :)
