Pippi it all seems so real now. I'm so excited for you and TRG. You guys will be fab.

I came across a blog the other day which claimed to be the most northerly food blog in the UK. I'm pretty sure you are more northernly than they were. Can't remember where I saw it now though! :o

Is your new garden big enough for chickens Pippi??
    Goals for February
    Declutter 2/50
    Money Made £0/£200
    Overpayments £0/£200
  • Hooray for auld cameras being rehomed. Someone me dear will love it.

My decluttering doesn't involve throwing out of a window - although........:D

I'm finding taking a theme (today's theme was 'drawers') and going through them with a box for 'chucking' and a box for 'charityafying' and the rest is now out waiting to be properly homed as I'm a lunatical tidier of sweeping things into drawers if busy.

    Tsk this will not do.

So the sides were a bit 'cluttered' but its getting better.

    :D

I'm so glad you're finding your 'swing'. And have a wonderful weekend!!

    :D

Thanks for popping over those burgers look lush.

Me book - btw - seems to be lost in the post - DS the gem keeps whistling and going a bit pink on skype.

Methinks there's a postal strike or somethink

    :D

    Scores
    doors

    are thus

    -1296 CC The Captain
    -1295 CC Lucifer

-3141 Total debts including those owed to penguins
    -2591 Total cc debts.

Getting there. DID a bit of a money shuffle.

    :D

Lots to do still but happy with paying a bit extra from the bills which aren't getting taken off dd's any more.

    :D

Waves to L - thank you

And Starnac there are indeed room for chookies - garden is 60m by 9m (ish) I did the ministry of silly walks 'walk' to pace it out. Not humungous but large enough with lots of interesting bits in it.

I may even find a few who lay blueish eggs and co-ordinate with the new kitchen. (I semi jest)

I think 2-6 chooks would be grand - but def at least a couple. Its very exciting. I was looking at where I could have them when we visited again.

Although TRG would prefer ones like this.

  • Not a fan of the creme ones - but I know you guys love em!

    Morning lands

Can you tell I'm home alone with only the muttlets of the basketcases for company?

Well DD returneth on Monday night and EH arrives at the end of the week - so I'm all set for a bit of company soon.

TRG is home doing superfinancialwizardry - as its his job to sort out the big scary financials (as he's good like that).

Payments on the CC's have gone through and I've used me wine money for those - so that's the wine money stash spent and can't be slurped. So a healthier month.

I've heard the greenhouse we've put up last weekend is still fine and standing (well done us eh?) and the gate is being locked accordingly.

All good stuff -we made a few improvements at TRG's rock pad as you just don't know what might happen and it may be that we're there for a while when I move down. Firstly we didnt' expect to find a house so fast, but secondly, until the keys are in the pooch there's no singing of lady's either.

Either way we'll have a roof on our heads when we move to a windy (but less windy) location.

    :)

    Today's plan is thus.

Head off to work and work hard
    Banks check
    Meals from stores
Can today be NSD number ? lets say 2 as I had one yesterday and probably had some at TRG's but I can't mind on.
    Walk mutts later somewhere lovely
Look in garage -step in and actuallly do something in their other than fill up the log basket.
Clean out fire its surely hugely loaded with ash
Pots and tubs and bits to a chum later today and lots of compost - whilst we do like compost we aint moving it.
Ponder picnic bench - if we buy house there's benches there galore - its large and lovely but old and a bit crumpled. I did wonder about donating it to womble HQ for the 'staff' wot take over things
Need to seriously look at boxes/fishboxes and see what might fit the kitchen clobber in
And count boxes of stuff room by room to see if 20 is about right.

Downstairs drawers are all now decluttered. :)
Upstairs drawers could do with a sort out too.
Pack all 'posh not needed' clothes into large suitcase
Unpack bag which is still lounging in the car cos I'm a lazy tyke.

Tonights tea is unpacked from frozen slumber its a kind of mince curry the DD made at school full of peas too.
Lunch is sushi (unconstructed) in a tub
Brekkie will be some toast which is a bit freezer burnt somehow on one side (?) but I'm sure when toasted and slobbered in marmite mgiht be passable.

I'm off in a bit so must get a wriggle on.

Have a great weekend - and i hope the sun shines on you.

I'm feeling excited but nervous re the changes and crossing everything to see that it all goes to plan.

If it doesnt it will be sad, but we've a roof over our heads and plenty more opportunities for nice wee cottages - so whilst I love the place we've found, I'm trying not to get too excited until its sorted.

Did I mention it has an apple tree :D

  • I should of course add - I'm not buying a house. I'm merely going to be 'the housekeeper and live in gardener'.

I have no such funds and twa wains (sp?) to put through uni.

A bit done and a bit to do - doesn't help that its howling a gale outside and threatening to rain.

    (sideways of course.)

Going into garage to make sense of what I can palm off on, um I MEAN declutter and donate to a chum.

  • Oh and I swapped some plants for some eggs so I'll be in 'eggs' till I leave and get my own chooks

And, I swapped a trailer for a huge amount of diy on an old dresser, some casters, a door and some other bits I need a hand with :)

I do like a bit of barter.

Picked up a book on how to change the world to a better place for under a fiver. (book was free)

    And

Eating well on less - making the most of what you've got and making it go a bit further.

    Reading for later sorted eh?
