  • So concerning this meal thingmy

    So far I have

    Pastrami stroganoff
Chicken and sweetcorn rissotto with carcass and bits (or chicken fried rice and sweetcorn fritters)
Fish stew with tatties and spinach
Pasta with tomato and goats cheese
    Cauliflower cheese
    Some kind of mincey-beany thing
    Pork sweet and sour.

That lot sounds OK doesn't it.

I'm having sushi stuff tonight as I can and I want to scoff it - rice done and seasoned ready for the fishy bits which are a defrosting.

    A very eclectic feast :D

Trying to channel my inner Pippi and get all my spring seeds planted, having been on holiday in prime seed-planting time :o I've done a few (and naughtily shoved kale and sprouts and radishes directly into the ground - probably as dinner for the snails) but just can't bring myself to do the rest - sun's gone behind a cloud now and I'm feeling more insidey... :o

Ah well, there's always tomorrow I suppose!
  • Inner pippi :D that's very lovely.

And you never know with seeds eh?

Problem with HM sushiness is that you scoff it too quickly.

Bit of telly and the fires on as the weather is minging.

Need to relook at my list.

    :)

I'm pondering wrapping up my bonnie rowan tree here (just about to break bud) and send it down to a chum to pot up and look after for me - I'm thinking 6 weeks the thing will be all triffidy and more unlikely to travel well.

Just finished rough list of stuff for moving and emailed it to local wee company.

Will also look at van hire (and ferry costs) to see how comparible they are.

I'm working right until the end of the month we leave so whilst I want life to be easy - if we're organised we can use the best option for us whether that's hiring and skooting up or asking a wee local firm to help us out.

Must update that list and make the pieces for the morn as working all day then a chum heading here to pick up some bits from the garden/pots etc.

    Declutter central indeed.

  • 50 days

Gosh, I was chatting to a friend today, and saying that despite my best attempts to de-clutter a room, by methodically going through everything and finding a 'proper' home for it; or donating it to charity; or putting it for the tip, I didn't seem to be reducing the amount in the room at all. They diagnosed that my methodical and zen approach to it was all wrong, and that in fact I had to get angry, fling open the window, and chuck it all out! :rotfl: They too are decluttering, with a view to moving, and I think that they are finding it a little overwhelming...... :rotfl:

Still, progress is being made here at Greying Towers, and I'm finding it remarkably easy to let stuff go. My auld camera has provided some really special memories, both in its initial acquisition and it's subsequent recording of my adventurising. I do hope it gets a good, new home :D

We're going to be Busy, capital intended, this weekend, but then, I guess focus is good :D
