Brilliant news on selling in your sleep! :j :j Brill to get under 3k, and how fab to potentially get rid of all of it by the time you leave!! :j :j :j0

Trog if its any help mine booted me out three times this morning.
Clearly it doesn't like Sundays. Thank you for your kind words - I've only followed the advice on here -
made my first ever budget and stuck to it :j
Joined in on small things
Kept a spending diary :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Made a new more realistic budget (!)
Taken in lodgers :T
Cut down on 'stuff'
Not had savings as cards get paid first
Pay cards in order of interest where possible :money:
Try not to take on any new debt (well I blew that a bit with expenses and work but I've learnt from that one eh?)
Managing money on an erratic income has been interesting and I saw Elaine blog on the very same thing - very sensible that reading was too.
And, of course got lots of free stuff, support and advice from you all for which I'm eternally grateful for napkins, stardrops, seeds, frocks, books, trees and plants, blankets, fleece, gifts, sweets and the love we've been given. :A:A:A:A:A:A:A
Its been quite a journey and for that I thank you all.
Be quite nice to join Mr TRG with my finances sorted for once and start a fresh together on a more simple journey without the embarrassment of how much I've owed and how silly I was in the past. Despite the rock god cape (thank you Starnac) - hes a deeply sensible money sort and this month will be debt free aside his mortgage. I've alot to aspire to, for he's very clever and careful with his money.
All fine advice of MSE goodness eh? I salute you all.

So the spends here grocery wise were WAY over reported.
I only spent
£9.29 in Mr M
£7.59 in Mr L
£16.88/100 to date.
I bought a tomato when in Mr L - just the one, that's all I needed and it came in at 15p
Really made me think about how much I lob in without thinking about the cost - OK so we do use most of it but this week I only need ONE tomato.
I've also just reassessed brekkie - looked and thought - beans on toast or eggs or an omelette.
And, dear reader sad as this sounds I found myself perusing the stores thinking
Beans they could be a tea
Extra's in omlettes are not required are they really scrambled eggs will do
And, if I'm honest I'm not starved so one egg will be perfect.
Do any of you ever look and think - -hmm that 'could be a proper meal' and walk away with less?
Oh dear far too deep this am.
Dear chums just came and measured up the old dresser for a wee door needing made and for castors (its made the cut to the new house)
They took away two sets of pine shelves (swedish shop, v cheap) and a trailer for their mower.
Work exchanged for trailer (as its been given to me for free for cutting grass, I think that's fair - yes its worth a bit of money but the love and attention to mending my old dresser and help is worth so much more) - hopefully that's good moving karma.
Money's exchanged online for electric piano
And all before lunch, I think I'll need a lie down - but I've got to skoot to work in a mo - rats!
Yes I could have sold the shelves and the trailer but these dear folks are kind and also on a journey to self sufficiency so its nice to be able to help a wee bit in my own small wee way with 'stuff' which we don't need and would help them.
Cheery (ETA) hello - and its not including the pesky student loan but we've talked about that long and hard haven't we? xx Hope to see you soon glad your'e back from your holibubs.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I've done the meal thing Pippi. DH has sometimes suggested egg, beans and chips for tea and I've had to say its one or the other. So either egg and chips or beans and chips not both as that's wasting a meal! Sounds quite tight when its written down but needs must sometimes.
Pippi you have done so well. Your cc will be gone before you know it.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

As if you'd get rid.
We will have two mortgages and the chance to overpay both by max 10% (annually with no penatlites) and trg is going from a tiny mortgage to two mortgages and one proper salary- we will really need to focus.
I won't be working much initially, I'm really thinking of turning course notes into a wee growing guide thing. Wiks greenhouse is my new 'growing emporium' to help being in funds.
There's no shop near by so stores/planning and frugal food is going to be important. And being inspired by you all.
And we need to focus on getting sorted for funding for uni/holidays and of course the big 'P' (pension)
So much to do - so little time!
You'll be seeing so much of me you'll be begging me to leave.

Hark at me and my mortgage natter - like I've ever had one. Its all EH talk you know! She's quite savvy on all that stuff.
Worked
Had a hot afternoon bath which always feels bad but hey I'm living on the edge
DS phoned three times - from all the airports on the way home!
DD phoned too - which was nice she's home tomorrow.
TRG's in from a serious bike ride round the forests near the wedding - and stopped by our ceremony bench to call me which was lovely.
So a fun filled afternoon of family chat from all over europe it would seem.
Dogs snoozing having got very wet today.
Had bread and eggs for tea.
Raided freezer for bits to make meals this week - we have a lot on and only monday night at home.
And lots of stuff was raided - bones and chook slowly chuggling away in the slow cooker.
Piano is picked up (electric one) and garage is a bit emptier.
Filled suitcase with posh stuff and thinking bedding will fit n there too.
Must make a plan for the week - its a busy one and we've visitors and adventures to have, so much planning to be had.
I spent money on bread (reduced x 2 45p) some fresh bread (go me a treat) and some reduced bickies.
Meals for folks here are a planning and todays my last day alone for a while - so I've kinda pleased myself.
I've worked hard and I've had some chill time.
Thanks for popping by.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
