Morning Lands - lots on today really must get a wriggle on.

Aw thanks lasses - Greying, more sheets indeed! Was the skydancing of the lapwings I was seeing yesterday.

The last chats from France as Dad has sold the farm and is off to a far more southerly direction next month.......which is a bit scary. Both kids will be firmly back in the UK today, which will be nice.

Cheery - seems a long time ago since we all bumbled around on here first meeting eh? And, now you've a whole house with a paid mortgage too! Life's certainly about the ride isn't it!

Works van to put to garage
    Walk up to bean factory
Work hard on plant related nonsense :)
    Take lunch
Coffee with a chum at work later and hear all about her chooks
Walk mutts before head off and leave them bones etc as they've a day at home
Read up on interview stuff for tomorrow
Tidy up a bit as DD home tonight
    Pick up DD from hairyplane
Bedding to wash and a few bits
    HM Meals
    Check banks
    Bank a £100 cheque
Wages from learning factory in the bank tomorrow - they can go to the card, can't they.
Cooked rice last night and took out chook and made stock with it - will pick through that later and make chicken fried rice to the return of the hungry girl.

Have a great day guys and gals - I'll no doubt have a wee peep from work but prob won't post - have a great day.

    :)

    Morning!

On the frugal food front I used some stale bread to make savoury bread pudding the other day with odds and ends from the fridge, worked quite well!

A busy day planned here too, doing some decorating at my Dad's. Having trouble getting going though I must admit, not looking forward to it! Hope you have more fun stuff in store!

Does indeed all help! :j :j
  • So tonights progress

Found DD at airport and she drove home - :)
Tea was indeed fried rice with chicken and free eggs - redid the stock once the stuff picked off - sorted into bones and chicken yuk (the latter can be moderately added to dug fud so that's a bonus but with great care of no bones.
Made a start to a meal for visitors (beef in ale)
Made some hm coconut yoghurt with valoo yog and a bit coconut from the baking stash - yummy it is too - have put some in a pot for tomorrow's lunch.
Decanted the chook stock into the fridge
    Taken cheese from freezer

Went outside and did a bit of pot emptying and have bagged up 9 bags of 'used but perfectly lovely' compost and its now in the boot of the car to be dropped tomorrow.
Decluttered 2 bags from the garage of doom
Found a box of stuff to give back to penguin face (one less box to move)
Brought home the first of a few fishboxes from work to pack up into gave it a rinse at it use to have carrots growing in it.
    Tidied up a bit
Milk out of freezer for tomorrow
Spoke to a chum on phone :)
    Walked el muttlets

Found book and heading for an early night.

Suit is hung up for interviews tomorrow (taking them as part of a work panel not attending one)

Wages from learning factory will be in tomorrow and I've already done enough this month to match last months so that's grand.

Moving man is coming by on Wed afternoon to see what kind of quote we need - we'll see if I end up just posting everything.

Must ponder best plan with mower - needs some attention but wonder if sell lower and not bother fixing/servicing or get serviced and get more money must take some advice and get on that pronto.

Dear Heart got on with getting all the financial paperwork into the brokers today and then he cruised by and stalked the new pad. Bless him.

I had a NSD today aside a bus fare to retrieve my car - which is expensed.

    Hooray!

I hope you've all had a super dooper day - the sun shone here - quite a change from driving hail.

  • Oh and I had just a lovely chat to a chum today (well two chums on separate occasions) about this dire need to find work

    IMMEDIATELY

    once moved.

Dearest Rosie told me its perfectly acceptable to give yourself a bit of breathing space and find your feet.

She also pointed out I'm keeping at least 7-10 hours a week from 'up here'. Therefore I am not actually an unemployed hasbeen flower womble on the recycling heap.

Seemed to be very sensible when she said it. And we had a fun chat about what we ourselves expect of our working day and what's also 'work' but unpaid (food/homemaking/finances/etc).

Its funny that whilst 'busy' and working hard unless its financially recompensed we don't value it so much in ourselves, when we would if our partners were working less hours/making house/feeding us/growing food.

    It really made me think.

And, if I'm honest, given my (fingers crossed hopefully soon to be new kitchen and garden) - I'd quite like a bit of time to enjoy it and feel grounded before the next adventure begins work wise.

And, once sealed we might have a wee sneaky peek at the kitchen which is GOR-GEOUS with a capital GORGEOUS.

Far too grown up for me and will look all the better with some mud and wellies in it.

    :)

Nice when you've a chum or two to sound stuff out with and they point out stuff you sort of know but its nice to hear all the same.

I think I'm just programmed to be a workaholic, but doesn't mean I can't do a load of that at home does it?
