Pippi you are doing so well. And none of this silly "I'm just the housekeeper" talk. TRG loves you just as you are and I'm sure he wants a partnership with you otherwise he wouldn't have married you. You are worth so much and you have so much to offer as well.

    Never forget that x

  • Aw thanks guys! And I do know he thinks of me as his partner in crime Starnac just please don't make me a cape ;) He's just good at the money stuff and I'm good at the apron stuff - its a great combo and I know he appreciates it :)

Thanks for reminding me I'm a good partner too.

L - things getting ticked off left right and central.

Decluttered - a shelf, three big wooden tubs - compost bags, and a picnic bench.

    :)

A pal popped in with come chat and some cheese!!!

    Free cheese is always good.

I ruined my NSD by heading into lidls on the way home of dropping stuff off and got some mutt food, some peas de mushiness and some bananas as we've no fruit.

    £7.21 spends.

Early night tonight I think. I hope you've all had lovely days.

    :)

I agree (hope you don't mind me butting in :o). I remember your diaries under your 'old' username way back, and you have done amazingly, paid off a huge amount of debt and getting yourself a whole new career while bringing up your children on your own :)

You are clever and resourceful and he is lucky to have you :D:D
  • Aw hello dawnW thank you so much, it's sometimes hard to remember the old times when life's so much cannier now isn't it. Thanks both for the reminder, I came on this journey with over £35k of debt each month getting worse, until I found you all.

Now even with the pesky student loan it's under £16k now without it it's hovering at about 3.1k (which is truly awesome). I can't thank you kind folks enough nor the dearest chum who told me about this site in a windy morning when I asked just how she managed.

For that I'm truly grateful to have taken heed and applied all of your good wishes, kind advice and liberal elbow grease :-)

Even TRG is asking where the 'stripey socks stores' will be in the new house - he's already identified the utility room as a great place for it.

I'm hoping life is good with you Dawn? And those chooks are still a galavanting about your homestead......And plans for early retirement - wow!!

    Thanks for being so kind.

    Morning lands

I sold something when I was asleep (via email, I'm not that good) and its a wee bit that I can use to pay off some debts so I might be able to have a shoogle about the coffers in a bit and *perhaps* get under £3k debts today. I've emailed them back to say I'd be delighted at thier offer so we'll see if they can pop by today at a mutual time and hand over the dosh. :)

Off to find my toes to count on - I know I have some as I painted them purple last night (just the nails) all in the spirit of using things up.

    :)

Morning all kettle is on. Pesky windy/rainy yukky out there so I'm doing a bit of 'me stuff' before I start the 'work stuff'.

Mutts walked under grumps as they don't like squally weather either.

I'm excited for you too Pippi, and it isn't even my prospective house!

Its all a little odd at the moment but fingers crossed TRG and his financial team pull it off eh. I mean an apple tree, oh the excitement. :j

Never mind that I have a goodly amount of 'woodland wedding vouchers' to use up too and that means TREES dear chaps. And, lots of them for the edges of the garden........

Very impressed at you selling in your sleep :D

Sometimes even I'm impressed. Someone emailed about DD's electric piano when I was a snoring.

They've just offered a nice amount for it and are picking it up today.

    :D

Also had an offer on one of the sofas (although as we were in the same room at the time, thankfully I was awake) :rotfl:

So that means if they both appear with some dosh later I'll be able to be under £3k owed by tonight.

Oh man how cool would it be to be either completely credit card free before I go or almost cleared.

Two more monthly wages then drop down to only a day (and a bit of remote teaching) a week. Really have to get those repayments cracked in.

    :)

Wow you're doing so well, and as has been said, the progress since you started out has been phenomenal!

Jut trying to do a round-up of the banks here; turns out online banking isn't so quick and easy if you only do it occasionally - Grrrr
