    Nice that George isn't a bother :)

Well world today is a looooooooooooooong day.

A wee list wouldn't go amiss.

    Banks to check
Lunch to take took didnt' eat had something at home did a 'greying' so will rejig
HM meals for tea/brekkie - cauli cheese is now cooked and waiting for dd to lob in oven, lentil soup and bacon in slow cooker, stew now in freezer for easy tea with guests.
Pork and lentils are in the slow cooker - pork went into stew, lentils turning into soup
Cauliflower is chunked etc - cooked etc.
Moving man coming at three pm - lets see what he's got to say
Working at BOTH jobs today so not finishing til about 9pm
Collected some cauliflower leaves in a bag debating pakora (which a pal made before) or donation to a friends chickens.........
Dogs walked early as DD drove to school
Kitchen cleaned and must do a bit more later
    Notes to finish for tonight

Today's main mantra is work hard, take grub, don't spend.

Did spend on grub last night and now have 3 17p aubergenies (there were about 100 of them) and some reduced milk and a bunch of flowers (30p) AND SOME SESAME SNAPS FROM MR T FOR DD AS THEY SEEM TO GO BETWEEN 20P PACK AND 25P SO i LOADED US UP

    Must update the spends.

Tootles away - might try and pop in later as will relieve that LONG DAY feeling.

    HAVE A GOOD UN!

£10.57 added to the grocery spends.

Have to telephone the cellist's 'other' parental today as there is much chat about stuff I don't know about involving trips and airplanes and all sorts of other shenanigans.

    Won't that be fun.

    Sigh. Sigh and Triple Sigh.

Single parents of the world, I salute you, we do a grand job in adverse circumstances that most folks wouldn't tolerate from other humans in the name of our offspring.

Hope the phone call is painless as possible - remember, just go quiet if needed, then speak your peace when he's gone quiet and wonders if you're still there! :D

Well done to being steely to the answer machine. Hope the wait isn't too long before the call back. But still....P'ah to silly daddy's!

  • Pah indeed

The removal mas has just been and I'll have a quote by the end of the week.

Likely under £1000 he says - but its how much that will make the difference of mover-s-r-us or not. Whilst perhaps not very MSE - its full fare time on the ferries and a van hire will be for a minimum of 3 days so that pushes the price up considerably.

Starnac - I did actually leave my name :) daft I know.

my mum always leaves a message saying 'hi cheery, it's only me'... :rotfl: :rotfl: so if i couldn't recognise her voice i'd be none the wiser anyway! :rotfl:

i confess the only reason we stick to our budget is that mr cheery does all the food shopping :o :rotfl: i was always rubbish at sticking to food budget and i hate supermarkets and being in them, so he goes instead :D he trawls round different shops and gets stuff that's on offer, and if i've requested something that's expensive i don't always get it :o :rotfl:

he's also pretty good at making dinner out of nowt and loves to run the cupboards down and eat bizarre combinations of tinned and frozen things :rotfl: but occasionally we end up with giant bags of somehing on offer and have to eat it with everything - at the minute it's potatoes for breakfast lunch and tea :D

neither of us have expensive tastes, he eats fish but really just occasional tin of tuna, and we make pretty much eveything from scratch, take leftovers for lunch etc. He often has tea made when i get in from work :D breakfast is generally porridge-themed, and our 'treats' often consist of a single freddo to share :D

not bad for a rock god :D
