Wow that sounds ideal, and not particularly wee either - is it really as nice as it sounds? Have you got a link to a picture?0

The actual wee hoose is compact but the public rooms have been extended down one side to make it roomy.
PM'd ya.
I'm currently picking out chicken names.
And breedswell a gal can dream.

Well today's certainly been a day of two halves as dear GP would say.
Nice exciting news re rooves over heads but I'm afraid I wasn't successful for the job at the mothership garden.
Not this time.
I came a noble second to someone with lots of experience much more than my own worn hands. Although I did get some lovely feedback, you can't be ashamed of coming in close to someone with oodles more experience.
They've been kind and I wish them well hopefully I can help out now and again.
I'd say I'm not gutted but I'd be telling porkies. But all things happen for a reason eh?
Home safe and sound and time for bed me thinks.
Have sweet dreams chaps and thanks for your lovely support re jobs and hooses and everything.

Morning!
Thanks for the PM. I really hope you get the perfect wee hoose!
A shame about the job, I'm sure you must be disappointed but you never know, you obviously made a good impression so perhaps they'll remember you favourably when something else comes up. And don't let it get you down, there will be something out there for you!
Up at silly O'clock this morning, in fact for the last 2 weeks I have been waking between 5 and 6 every morning even after only going to bed at 12 or 1. Feeling rather drained by now - but it does give me the only opportunity for some uninterrupted work time!
A gorgeous day here yesterday. I sold a small piece of furniture and the lady paid extra for me to deliver it (quite a distance) so to make up for dragging the girls out in the car we stopped on the way home at a farm-park type place (a big farm shop and garden centre, but they have some animals to look at and a children's play area; all free). We looked at the animals and the waterfowl on the fishing lake; the water was clear so we could see the trout and also the diving ducks swimming about underwater, which was fun. Older DD met some friends and little DD enjoyed watching everything. Then we played for a bit and rounded it off with a ride on the carousel, felt like Mary Poppins!0 -
Morning worlds.
bright but breezy here.
Working today - tonnes to do so best up and atam.
Dogs walked cuppa in hand time to plan the day.
Milks thawing nicely and some stuff for sandwiches seems not bad either, time for action soon.
Hope you have a great day whatever you're at.

I'm so pleased your offer was accepted. Shame about the job though. But it does mean that there is something much better out there for you. How exciting! Like Trog said they might keep you in mind for something else.
When we moved down here DH applied for a dream job. He was turned down, but when the guy rang to tell him he had been unsuccessful he was told about a better job and how he should apply for that instead! Which he did and he's loved it there ever since! The boss Has told him since that the reason he was turned down was because they wanted him for the other job. So it does happen xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Thanks Starnac that does help. Mortgage folks and TRG are in communication and they reckon all going to plan end of May is likely quite achievable which means just one move.
So today - so far so good a NSD.
Spends for groceries are £21.23/100 which was to top up OH cupboards and whilst thats not 'here' its my budget so at least I feel like I'm helping. And, once moved we need to keep the purses tight with increase in mortgage for him and less work for me so good to start on a good foot I think. Nothing much will change re the spends I hope aside the location of them.
I've not started to properly look around yet - I've a guaranteed 7 hours a week from current job and 3 (ish) a week from the bean factory.
Today's mission as I still have the works van is to tackle the garage and look about for anything to be recycled/rehomed via charity etc.
So a listypops I feel is required.
Continue a list of what's coming down and update it in the 'stuff for moving' spreadsheet.
Declutter at least ONE drawer - we aint moving bruck (carp/rubbish)
Brutal in garage and really assess whats needed now we know roughly were we're going.
Empty some pots etc as there's a chap coming tomorrow who's taking some of the bigger (not so great to keep) wooden barrels and he can have some free soil
Look at plants and decide who's staying and who's coming.
Contact a chum about 'plant sitting if they're posted now and she can pot and love them.
Walk doglets
Speak to Mr me via skype
Check firewood situation
Think about garden bench
Declutter stereo in kitchen to charity shop which takes electricals and unfangle one in the lounge.
Meal plan for the week or at least make a list of potential grub and its potential meals.
Rejig a bit for EH and Mr EH to fit into the house without too much hassle since DS stole their bed.
Start to make a pile of photos or start to scan them as they're decluttered from various rooms
Check banks - I need to find £335 for the valuation of the house for OH from various pots
Look at when to pay the last oil partial bill.
Have a serious think about Darwin and actually take some action.
Same re brand new exhaust in garage for him
**look around area where we will be going to live check out gardens and potential for some p/t work and perhaps look for potential chicken owners locally - just saying**
*plan movements over summer and see what works in for stuff etc*
****sit down and work out what time I actually have if I structure days with some serious 'at home' work, some remote working and some structure which will allow me to start to finalise the draft of me wee book(let) on growing in windy northern climes.*****
(If I don't prioritise it, it won't happen)
I'm home alone (although working) all weekend, so think about taking some time just for me when not clattering about like a lunatic.
Finally 'eat' to please myself.
No one here but us mutts and lasses after all probably one of the last weekends completely on my own for a wee while.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Finally really think hard about BRB (large insane mower) as tbh, the new garden isn't big enough for him, so he might like to live up here in a nice new home instead, which will be sad but might help fund the move.
puts out petted lip, but I considered it hard before we put an offer in and no point in keeping something you just don't need.
Also no point in pondering an allotment until I get settled, but being on a list wouldn't hurt eh?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
