Thanks RC, I'm going to get mine sent off in the next day or two.

Question: is this essentially the same claim as in the other thread (EE.T-Mob.Orange. Change T&C From 26th March 2014), where lots of people are beating EE, or is this claim newer and for something slightly different?

    Thanks again

This one is completely different. The change in T&Cs was pretty much a guaranteed winner (as much as law related decisions go), this one is a little less certain, but I think a 75% chance of winning at CISAS, and a 95% chance in the Small Claims Court.

The main argument to this one is that BECAUSE EE changed the T&Cs after 23rd January then that term is effectively subject to the post January Ofcom rules - which is that ANY price rise gives you a right to a penalty free cancellation.

Sorry for being silly and not knowing, but what would I do if they don't reply to me, still waiting :wall:

This s EES first tactic to try and make you give up - it will get worse - so I suggest you find a nice thick towel to wrap around your head for that wall!!!

Give EE exactly 1 week if still no response let me know and I will post another template letter for you (waiting is important as it helps to build a case for compensation:))
  • Apologies for being lazy, at work atm and don't have time to read through the thread.

Basically I took out a 24 month contract 23rd of January 2014, with EE on a 4G plan.

I recall receiving the text but thought nothing of it at the time.

I have yet to receive the price increase letter, but gather it'll arrive soon enough.

    What are my options?
  • Hi

I've been following these threads for the last couple of weeks and received the EE notification letter this morning.

I prepared the email yesterday, but I've seen something about people calling T-Mobile and quoting ofcom to them and receiving better/new deals, so I will have a look at all of my options before I decide to act.

Thanks RC for the email template!

    Cheers

    M
  • Thanks for the info RC.

Just emailed EE. Now to wait for the fun and games to start... will keep you posted.

    Cheers!

    Hi RC.

Before I send the letter off to Orange about the price increase, I noted that in another thread you talked about getting price increases refunded since the start of the contract. Is it possible to still do this, and can the current increase and previous increases be dealt with together?

    @Edfaz

You could run 2 claims in parallel but there is a risk you will get the price rises refunded - but not the penalty free cancellation.

The process is EXACTLY same re having to send 3 or 4 emails and then going to CISAS, so probably best route is cancellation - the amount of effort required is the same.

No sign of a response to my emails yet - sent Tuesday. Probably not helped by the Which? campaign that is presumably also bombarding him with a ton of emails!
