Advice needed- Screwed over by Ryanair!

Ryanair are the pits for Customer service.
I've travelled extensively with them as has my family, but if a mistake occurs they don't want to know.
They are just now beginning to be slightly more customer-friendly - probably because profits had fallen recently - but still the worst I've ever encountered.
A strongly worded letter would probably be a waste of time.0 -

It would probably be a waste of time because I doubt very much that Ryanair are actually to blame for this.
I think this is a very good point:jacques_chirac wrote: »I would be questioning how the rest of the flight found the correct gate0 -
While I do think the passenger has to take absolute responsibility for being in the right place at the right time - and asking if it's not clear - is it a coincidence that there was a similar post about the same airline a few weeks ago?0

I don't see how anyone could blame Ryanair, the OP has clearly ignored the flight operator and the flight number that would have been displayed on the board and has gone to the wrong gate, then after discovering they were at the wrong gate they have simply stayed there :T
My money is on the OP being one of those panicky travellers who arrive at the airport 6 hours before a flight and start queueing the second they arrive at their gate0 -

I must have missed that thread.
Do you have a link to it?

This one? Several months ago but the only one I could find. If so, it is pretty clear the OP was at fault.0 -
Can't believe some of the replies on here.
OP couldn't 'read the board correctly' because it clearly wasn't correct!*Look for advice, not 'advise'*

no, they saw a flight for dusseldorf and presumed it was the Ryanair one, when it actually was a different airline.
the rest of the passengers managed to get to the right gate, so the flight information board cant have been wrong.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Look's like the OP isn't the only one who has problems reading0 -

As already explained, the OP went to the gate for flight AB XXXX, but she was booked on flight FR XXXX. That is not the fault of the airline or the airport.
If I go to Manchester and try to board a Virgin flight when I have booked with American Airlines, that is not the fault of AA!0
