What part of that ^^ did you (all) not understand??
I don't understand why anyone would not seek assistance if their flight was not on the board, go to a gate for the wrong flight, then just sit back for an hour and wait for someone to collect them, knowing they would miss the flight.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Staff at the wrong gate informed us it happens everyday and yesterday 52 people had the same problem and where left standed.

Who informed you that you would be collected - the person Ryanair posts at wrong gates?
Who was the person that arrived an hour later - a member of the Ryanair collection staff?
Did you sincerely believe that 52 passengers were stranded?0 -

The OP has hopefully learned that flight number is king.0 -

So - are we to believe that the day the OP flew (or attempted to fly) that this flight - although sceduled and clearly operational - was omitted from the Departure board?
likelyfran - still think this is correct?likelyfran wrote: »Er..... ONLY flight on board for time of flight was for Dusseldorf (and none for 'Weeze')?? There wasn't one for any other carrier.0 -
If we're being honest that sort of scheduling shouldn't be allowed.
It's not wrong it just lends itself to confusion.
At that time of the morning, when you're in a rush, I can see some people making mistakes.
Not me, touch wood, but then I have an eye of detail.
I do wonder if the other flight had people miss that.
I'm trying to think of other situations where this could happen outside the airline industry? Any ideas all?0 -

So airlines should revise their schedules because some people can't distinguish between FR3252 and AB8893?
Really?
Talk about a nanny state!
If you can't read 2 letters and 4 numbers on a board, you shouldn't be in an airport without assistance.
And don't you think that 'Weez' on the board kind-of gave a big hint to the correct flight?0 -

This is a harsh lesson that op has had to learn the hard way it seems0

If anyone owes the OP an apology, it's Air Berlin because they told them to stay put when clearly they should have gone to find the right gate.
I do find it very strange that 11 passengers would sit around waiting to be collected beyond the scheduled departure time.
Don't know what happened with the departure board, but probably as the OP was there in good time, the flight wasn't on the board yet. As per screenshots, the AB flight is listed above the Ryanair flight, so that's also likely...0
