Advice needed- Screwed over by Ryanair!

A little shocked by some of the replies- I was hoping for some help!
The flight only had 18 booked on it, 11 of us missed it. We made ourselves known before the flight to say it appeared the signs where wrong and were told the lost passenger bus would collect us.
I'm not unable to read at all, despite been highly dyslexic I am extremely competant at following flight information having flown over 100 times.
Also, the day before 52 people had exactly the same problem!0 -
Also, if you go to Gate 5 in stansted you can't get to the right gate as the staff told us it was a one way system. We were forced to wait for the lost passenger bus, 40 mins before planned take off we asked where exactly we should be as how we get there planning to run the length of the airport!
We needed to be at gate 43!0 -

So you would know to check the flight number as well as the destination?
I appreciate it is frustrating, but Ryanair has done nothing wrong.0 -
This isn't aimed at you Cherabelle. But I did find it funny! We were forced to wait for the lost passenger bus0

Yes, Ryanair has done something wrong. A decent company would not use the opportunity to profiteer if its customers make an honest mistake or are mislead by others. It also would not wrongly describe Weeze as Dusseldorf. The £110 fee, excessive in any event, should have been waived in these circumstances.0

I don't know of any European airline that would waive the change fee where they were not at fault. More likely in the US (as I discovered when I slept through boarding time!), but not here.0 -
So - are we to believe that the day the OP flew (or attempted to fly) that this flight - although sceduled and clearly operational - was omitted from the Departure board?
likelyfran - still think this is correct?
I don't know - maybe they've changed it since OP flew????
Do you know that they haven't??:)*Look for advice, not 'advise'*

No, clearly the problem is the inability to distinguish between 'Dusseldorf' and 'Dusseldorf Weez'.
Only some customers, surely?
The remainder of passengers obviously managed to get to the right gate for the right plane to the right airport.
Why should things be 'dumbed down' (and changed) for those who can't read 2 letters and 4 numbers and can't distinguish between 'Dusseldorf' and 'Dusseldorf Weez'.
That's fine - but don't bang on about how you were 'screwed over' by Ryanair and plan a 'strongly worded' letter to a company not at fault here.
The OP even knew she should have been looking for a flight to Weez.
Really?
The screen shot in an earlier post clearly blows that out of the water.
Really? That screen shot was from the day the OP flew was it?

A mate of mine has been on Facebook this morning having just done the exact same thing today as op did yesterday. And I mean the EXACT same thing, same time, same airport, same flight, same wrong airline and same right airline.
Only difference is that he is cursing his daftness and calling himself a wally rather than blaming everyone else.
Yeah right! :rotfl:*Look for advice, not 'advise'*
