Good morning!
Things here are good- I'm so glad it's the weekend but next week is going to be hectic. Eek. My boss is back so my secondment is over. It'll be a crazy week as I'll spend most of it handing things back over to her and we have nine interviews to conduct for a new team member. Then the big vote is next week too so need to put some serious thought into making a proper decision. I keep swinging from one way to the other. I've got some after work stuff to do too and I just feel like it's going to be non-stop next week.
I'll just need to enjoy the weekend while it lasts!
Sounds like you're making good progress with the house, although I'm sure the kitchen will wait!
Hows your new employee getting on? Good, I hope.

Morning!
What day is the vote, Jo? Sounds like you have a busy week ahead, I hope you take time to relax as well.
Well, I have been to the recycling centre, had the car washed and am now going to do a big online shop. I will stock up on tinned stuff so that all I have to buy is fruit, veg, eggs and packed lunch stuff during the rest of the month. I definitely wont need meat for a month as I cant fit any more in the freezer!
The boys new beds are lovely, and the smell of the wood is wafting around the house still, really nice! These are the ones I bought:

and I bought these (very comfy) mattresses to go with it:

Good Afternoon All
I am currently waiting for my Asda online delivery to arrive. I was thinking I'd spend about £200 on tinned foods, but as it was I only spent £55. I swear MSE has changed my outlook on spending money for life.
Tonight's dinner is Tesco finest beef burgers http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=277661766 Currently on offer in Tesco for 3 for £10 or 2 for £7...bought them from the butcher for 99p, BOGOF..so 2 packs of 4, for 99pCant remember of I said that our butchers supply Tesco with meat?
Anyway, I am having that with chips and salad.
I am off to the gym tomorrow after work..its been a few weeks since I have been as things have been hectic, but I need to make the most of our membership.
I have now changed a few client days around, so I am no longer working on Mondays at all. I need 1 day in the week that I am not out cleaning, to keep on top of paperwork, advertising etc, as well as for appointments for myself and the boys.
in other news, I have been craving a KFC for weeks now and still haven't caved in...NEED to save the money instead of spend it!0 -
Good afternoon Everyone
1. I need money
2. I am budgeting really well
3. I am using up lots of things from my cupboards, freezer etc that I didn't even know I had!
4. The business is going really well..i might have to take on another employee by Christmas as I now have 3 new clients.
5. I cant quite believe that its all going so well.
6. Had to send an unplanned £40 on Thursday when I got a flat tyre on the way to work.
7. I STILL haven't had a KFC...
8...and I STILL haven't painted the kitchen!
9. Getting back to the gym has been really good.
10. I need a new bread maker, as mine has gone kaput!
the biggest news...
11. I am going to start a 'Therapy Training Fund'. This is a really important thing for me, as I need to get my training done as soon as I can afford it. It'll be a long slog, as the training isn't cheap, but it'll be worth it in the end, to have the career that I want.0 -
Sounds good. I was away last WE taking twin 1 to Uni, just went out to lunch with twin 2 before his send off.
Had lunch out a while ago, was 6 quid incl a glass of wine.
My savings today will be no dinner as I m stuffed lol.0 -
Lol atush, £6 well spent then if it also includes not eating a dinner!
Not bad for a glass of wine too.
Dinner here is chilli and pasta. I really love the mince from our butcher, it tastes lovely
watching Dr Who later, so going to pop some corn in a bit. I'm such a big kid, I love it!0 -
Sorry, the 6 quid meal was a different day (but I did make a small dinner to my OH's disgust lol.
Todays meal was more, but I saved on dinner. We usually have seafood for dinner on sat so it can cost.
I haven't seen the new Dr who yet. I am watching Sons of Anarchy lol0 -
I have joined a group on FB called 'Slow Cooker Wonders' and have seen some amazing SC meals...cakes, omelettes, pies etc..I never knew you could make those in the SC!0
-
Wow, what an amazing turn around from the begining of your diary.
Well done on getting your own business together, sounds like everything is going according to plan.YNAB is my new best friend.0 -
Hiya Chris, thanks for the encouragement
Yes, big changes afoot! All good, but very busy and totally skint at the moment.
Looking forward to when I actually get paid by clients! Only another week until I send out invoices and then they have 10 days to pay...cant come soon enough! I only JUST have enough in the bank to cover my direct debits and standing orders this month. BUT all id good as I know it'll be fine once the clients pay
I need to sit down and write a budget out for the next few months really, may do that this weekend.
Hope everyone else is doing well?0
