I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Thanks Mr CF, and welcome to MSE :) I see you're a newbie, have you been lurking long? I think I lurked for almost a year before joining! Do you have a diary yet, or still just browsing? Either way, welcome, its great to have you on board :)

Have taken my son to the dentist and did a small food shop at Asda while I was there. I still prefer Aldi, although (as I have said a few times now) the quality of their F&V has been dire recently so I am going to the greengrocer instead.

I really want to get away from the supermarkets, and my walk around Asda really confirmed this.

Dinner tonight is veg curry, using up the veg I have lurking at the bottom of the fridge (carrots, a green pepper and mushrooms). Serving it with brown rice (I don't eat white rice/pasta/bread) and some Nann breads that I bought last week but forgot about!

Had a good meeting with my employee today, she is happy with everything, I am happy with her being happy about everything, so its full steam ahead. She starts on Tuesday at 9am! I cant believe that I am going to be an employer!

That's really exciting stuff WTBSE! You should be so proud of yourself for taking this amazing step :) good luck to your new apologies (and you!) for next week!

Your dinner sounds lovely- we had chicken with a french mustard sauce and wild rice, which was delicious. I'm not trying to resist snacking. I'm not even hungry! It's just been one of those days/ weeks.

No, my signature isn't up to date yet. I still need to make time to do my sums properly and figure out where im at. I'm too tired tonight though. Work is so full on just now I'm neglecting a few things a bit.

Welcome MrCF! I wish you all the very best in your savings challenges.

Husband is playing football so it's an hour of trashy tv for me!

    Right!

I have put on my big girl pants and sorted some things out.

My signature total is updated, so just over £2.5k saved after this month's setbacks. I have also updated my target, as I realised having a 'rest of 2014' target isn't as beneficial for me as an overview target. I'm hoping to have as much of £15k as possible by this time next year.

Going to spend some time tomorrow taking a closer look at our finances. I thought I kept a good enough record of bills, expenses and thing, but I'm sure I could squeeze more money out for savings.

Husband is waiting on a £400 payment from a job that he did so that'll bring the savings back up when that comes in. The job isn't quite finished yet so not sure when that'll be. Nice to know that there's something on the way.

Hope you're having a good night!

Thanks for the welcome. I've been lurking for weeks now, but was never willing to join. I read most of your diary and I've subscribed. I even made my own spending one.

Keep going, what your doing is great. :T:beer:

Jo, well done for putting your big girl pants on :D I am desperate to see what I can save! Only another 4 weeks until payments are due from clients! Not that I am counting down the days or anything ;)

Have had a long and tiring week and am looking forward to the weekend!

Just think how awesome it will be when you can put your first bit of savings away from your very own business. It'll feel great!

Thanks for the support, I must keep up the positivity!!

    Morning All :)

Thanks Jo, it will feel great when I can do that!
An easy day at work today, cleaning from 10-1 and then coming home and making a few phone calls.
I am finding the timetable tricky as some clients want weekly and some want fortnightly.
    I'll get there though :)

I hope everyone is having a lovely relaxing weekend? I am!
I am not working now until Tuesday (apart from emails/phone calls etc on Monday).
Shame the boys are back to school on Monday, as I have enjoyed having them home, even if I have been working lots!

I'm having an ok weekend. My son was in some kind of hyper/ grumpy/ disobedient mood today so I was counting down the minutes until bedtime.

Got a bottle of prosecco open now though and watching the wolf of wall Street with husband which is good.

You'll be pleased to hear I finally banked all that money that we had in the house from husband's homers. I'm also going in on Friday to set up my santander 123 account properly.

Are you having a good one?
