I worry that I'll join more challenges then dilute the effort that I put in!
I don't think I've got the time for the making £10 in a day one. By the time I get my one year old into bed, make and have our dinner and wash up, it's usually 8.30pm and husband and I want to spend 1-2 hours quality time before hitting the hay. Don't know if he'd be happy that I sat on the laptop the whole time instead of snuggling up with a cup of tea and a movie! Haha
I think the NSD one might lure me in eventually- that's something I definitely need to put more effort into.CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

I have to say the I don't do something every day to try and make a tenner. I might list loads of stuff on the bay and see how much I can make, or money back from TCB for a purchase I have made or if someone treats me to a coffee or something I might put away the money I have saved from not having to pay for it myself. I used to include overtime etc etc. it's amazing how these things add up.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Yeah, I didn't think of it like that. I use TCB anyway and use eBay to et rid of things fairly regularly too so I suppose I'm already doing some of that, just not tracking it.
NSDs is an easy one to key track of so I might start with that!!

What a day!
Thankfully its the weekend! Today wont be a NSD either, as I am planning on buying pizza and something incredibly alcoholic and watching a good film on TV this evening. I need to chill out.
REALLY looking forward to the Mindfulness Day tomorrow, its just what I need.
About 2 weeks until I can make some savings...not long now! I am getting used to a reduced weekly budget. Have managed to save £10 of petrol and £60 from my food budget in the last 2 weeks.
I am starting to think about another weekend away. In a months time we will be on our way home from Longleat! I want to book something else so that we have something to look forward to, but I cant think of anything.
I have decided on my Winter getaway- I want to hire a cottage in ScotlandI know, not the usual winter getaway, normally oeople want sun! I want snow, and LOTS of it. So a cottage in the middle of nowhere is my plan. I had a look on a website called wilderness cottages: http://www.wildernesscottages.co.uk/ some of the cottages look lovely, right next to a Loch or 2 as well
If anyone knows anything about Scotland, please comment on where to go!
I am thinking about somewhere near Loch Ness, but am open to other ideas.0 -
That's great that you've managed to save money on your budgeted costs so far this month. Keep it up!
I live in Scotland, although nearer Glasgow so not quite in idyllic cottage land! Loch Ness is beautiful, so is everywhere in Argyll. My favourite place in Scotland is the Isle of Skye. It's got some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen! It's a long, long way to go though, even from glasgow. It's got a bridge from the mainland so you don't need to get a ferry.
Other places I'd consider- Inverness, Elgin/ Nairn/ Lossiemouth Coast. There's so many lovely places, it's so hard to choose!
Anyway, I've rambled a lot of nonsense, so if you want to ask anything I'll gladly help if I can.
Husband's brother is treating us to a Chinese tonight- woo hoo! We've helped him out with Childcare a lot recently so it's a wee thanks I think. Not that we need thanked!!CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

Love, love, love the idea of going to Scotland in winter and it should be really cheap too. I'd head for Mull myself - I love Tobermory and Mull is so beautiful. As is Skye
The west coast generally is gorgeous. The outer Hebrides are lovely too, a bit bleaker perhaps, but when I was there I found everyone incredibly friendly and hospitable.

It is fab...although I'm biased!
Depending in what you're looking for, there's cottages in and around ski towns like Aviemore and Fort William- you'll still have the benefits of having a town and things to see and do but are surrounded by glorious scenery, hills and little cottages are dotted around everywhere.

It's raining here today
humph.
What happened to 'spring'?
It got a little damp.
Last year about this time, or a little later, I was walking along the Cleveland Way by Sutton Bank in a blizzard.
Yes, I know, totally mad. I didn't stay out for long. But the point is, this year is much better.Eco Miser

The sun has disappeared from Cornwall today too. Darn it!
Woke up nice and early to get ready for my day of mindfulness. I didn't sleep last night, so I hope I don't fall asleep while meditating!
Jo- what is the South Loch Ness area like? I am considering Fort Augustus area after a recommendation from a friend.0
