Your lovely walk (and cake!!!) sounds fab tattycath. You're so right- a bit of sunshine can brighten even the glumest of days.
It's a lovely morning here- blue skies already! Long may it last
Might be able to transfer a teeny wee bit more savings across to savings today because it's husband's weekly pay day. I'll see what lands into the account this afternoon and see if we can spare a few quid. I'm tempted to just leave it for this week and just let a little money build up the current account as a buffer instead though. Don't know if we'll just spend it if it's there though! Hmm...CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))
July debt total: £24,630.44 | New debt total: £18,316.34 | Total debt paid: £6,414.10 (26%)

Tesco Fuel Save
With thanks to barafear799 over on PTS
Tescos are launching a new promotion tomorrow nationally having trialled it in Wales and Norwich.
Quote from barafear799 - training rec'd in Tesco at the weekend.
It was very much stressed that this is not a promotion but is ongoing and is costing Tesco a huge investment.
So what is Fuel Save?
For every £50 you spend at Tesco, you’ll earn 2p off a litre of fuel when you fill up at a Tesco petrol filling station. Build up your savings over a number of shops, and you'll get an even bigger saving on your fuel
So how does it accumulate?
Every shop counts, even the smallest ones. Anything from a pint of milk to a weekly shop can save you money on fuel. So if you spend £100, you’d get 4p a litre off, if you spend £150, you’d get 6p a litre off and so on. As long as you scan your Clubcard, each shop adds up to save you money on fuel. Your savings can also be combined over a number of shops so you can get an even bigger discount on your fuel – as much as 20p off a litre.
How is it different from other fuel offers?
Tesco Fuel Save isn't a one off offer; it's an ongoing scheme. Every shop you do can earn you savings, no matter how small.

For those of us that buy 3V cards for 150 points, this is a no brainer as we will not only get 150 clubcard points but also 2p off a litre too.
With careful planning, I can see myself buying a minimum of £500 of 3V cards a month which will give me 20p off a litre of fuel AND 1500 points.
Will put it into my YNAB for budgeting"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -
Morning All
Just off to work but will post later! Urgh, I cannot believe its only Tuesday. I am struggling to get up in the mornings!0 -
Good afternoon everyone
Its lovely and hot again here in Cornwall. If you want some sun, come down here for the week
Just munching on my dinner- 2 slices of cheese on toast, a Jaffa orange and a cup of coffeeIts lovely!
Determined to spend less on food.
With the boys away for the weekend, I am going to see if I can leave the food shopping until Sunday.
I am finding the waiting to save monthly, boring! Patience has never been my forte, so I am not really that shocked. I am trying to remind myself that this means i'll be able to save bigger amounts as I get used to living on less. It's all fine. Really.0 -

Looks like you are doing really well with yours, well done!
atush- it wasn't that long ago that we were all ill. It was probably the worse illness we've had in a while. Anyway, today I heard of 2 people who have had Scarlet Fever and described the exact symptoms that we have had. We are better now though.
Scarlet fever- yikes? People used to die/go blind with that in the olden days.
Anyway, found something els deluxe in my cupboards (well, a whole lotta crap actually). A tin of Duck confit from a trip to France. That will make a nice sunday dinner with a salad and some spuds.0 -
I don't think its as bad now as it once was (the Scarlet Fever I mean), normally its a course of antibiotics. but to be honest, I couldn't have got to the docs if I had wanted to, I could barely move from the sofa for 3 days.
Duck Confit sounds lovely, enjoy!0 -

I'm totally with you on the patience thing! I'd take little and often over big and seldom any day! If it means you can save more doing it monthly though, you're right to change. I suppose it just means you'll need to get used to the new way of things.
Hope you can make the most of your weekend without the boys. It won't be the same, and I'm sure you'll miss them, but it'll be nice to get some time to yourself.
I've had such a trying day at work! I'm very close to having a glass of wine and a takeaway!! In fact, it's going to happen. Stressful day, coming home late and forgot to take the meat out the freezer this morning = worst combination ever! :mad:CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

In total agreement with you both regarding patience. I am very impatient and would rather move money in small amounts and often, rather than having to wait.GE 36 *MFD may 2043
