I agree with atush, just ignore them. I had a lot of people moaning about my diary in the beginning, and someone even went to the effort of starting a thread to say we shouldnt be posting in this section of the forum.
You just have to rise above it.
Although that particular thread wasnt just about my diary, the majority of replies that it got were saying that 'someone like me' has as much right to post in this section as anyone else.

So what that i am not saving thousands every month. So what that i chat about what i am having for dinner. So what that i can only save £30 or £100 here and there.

Let the doubters jog on! Every saver has started with £0.

Good advice wtbse, I love reading diaries when I have time so I'd tell them to bog off too and just carry on!

I'm having a nice day- husband is working all weekend again which will be good for the extra cash but we're missing him. It's been a month now without a day off so he's tired.

My son and I went to a baby market this morning to see what we could pick up for #2 but I came away with a 0-6m sleeping bag and a pair of trousers for my son. Not totally eventful!

Once he's up from his nap we are going to the park with his bike as it's a lovely day today.

Trying to write my shopping list now before he wakes up!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend and hope your hand is getting there wtbse.

Oh, also, managed to put another £200 away from husband's overtime so total is at £800 in savings account.

This overtime is giving us such a boost, I keep moaning that we don't see hubby but it's a great extra kick for our savings and won't last forever So just trying to suck it up.

Hopefully will be able to add another £200 next week then we'll see from there.

Thanks guys. I might carrying on writing in my diary then, but i like reading what Ali you guys write, so also write in here.

Doing quite well this month and on target except for the £98.37 I had to pay for my dog at the vet. Went in with one problem and she managed to find a load more!

Off to a farm with my two (6 and 4), but bought a voucher off group on, so already paid for except lunch.

Morning All :) So much for a Sunday lie in, i was up at 7.45am.

Wasted £20 on junk food and wine last night. Was annoyed with myself this morning, such a waste! BUT it still only brings my food shopping to £55 this week, so i guess its not too bad.

I am aiming not to spend ANY money for the next 7 days. I have my meal plan and i have enough food for snacks. I have the boys dinner money ready, so wont need to spend anything.

Pollyanna- pets can be expensive cant they! Not so long back my cat had a few health issues and required 2 trips to the vet, costing £150 each time (not just to see the vet, but for pain relief injections too). Luckily i had more savings and she recovered quickly.

Jo- my hand is still causing some issues and pain, but it is healing, thanks for asking. When is your baby due? Will you get much stuff given to you by family members do you think, or do you already have lots leftover from your son?

I am off to search for some recipes. I have lots of apples, and some flour and butter, so want to see what i can make that doesnt involve apple crumble!

Yeah my dog Max who is 13 had cancer last year. Cost me abt 5-600 all told. But normally he has been just a once a year for shots dog.

Will have to take him every 3-4 months now though so that will bump up the annual cost.

Only spent 80 this week at Tesco, go going for me lol.

Sorry you're having pet troubles pollyanna, hope the wee soul is better soon.

Atush, what a shame about your dog but glad he got through it. My aunt dog got meningitis as a pup and survived but it left him with many allergies, skin troubles and stomach troubles so he was a regular at the vet.

WTBSE, baby #2 is due June 20th so Im 21 weeks now. We have most things from my son, which is great, we'll just need new mattresses, baby monitors and clothes really. Trying to pick up a few bits here and there but I'm sure family will want to buy some bits too.

£55 is great for the week, and you deserve a treat! It's easy to think ' could've saved that' but we can't be sensible all the time :)

I spent £42 in Aldi this morning then £21 in b&m for cleaning bits, new clothes pegs and some toiletries.

I got a gorgeous babygrow and some vests for the new baby plus a half price jumper for my son in sainsburys so a £17 spend there too.

Popping to a friends house for coffee at 2.30 then home to make a banana and blueberry loaf and some beetroot and mint humus.

Must get off backside and put shopping away!

Just a quick one while i am waiting for dinner to cook.

Money saving this i have done today:

    -Had a NSD
-Made an extra portion of lunch so that i have enough lunch for tomorrow as well
-Stuck to my meal plan (in the oven as we speak)
-Kept the heating off as much as possible
-Put the washing out on the line (its sunny here).
